In most parts of the country it is the heart of state/county fair time. The wife and I enjoy watching the 4H kids with their animals.
I chose other.

My favorite part is the scantily clad wimmins...

Down the road from the Kentucky State Fairgrounds...

... is Trixie's, a local 'gentlemen's' attraction...

...it get real lively around state fair time...

... dat's Uncle Ferd's favorite.

There is a free bandshell on east side of fair where we have caught several big name acts. Production isn't as glitzy but if you're there for the music it just don't matter.

Indian tacos. It's too hot for anything else.

Indian fry bread is popular at our state fair in Arizona. Looked up Indian Tacos, a winner.

Back in Ohio my favorite was the Bahama Momma sausage sandwich from Schmidt's Sausage Haus.

I had to look up the sausage. They have kits!

They have a couple places in Tucson to get Indian tacos if you are ever down that way. I have had them here:
