Favorite Christmas Movies.

It's a Wonderful Life is a good one.

I can't watch A Christmas Story anymore. The 24 hours of A Christmas Story every year wore that movie out. It is now obnoxious as hell.

Home Alone 1 and 2 are both good Christmas movies.

A more recent favorite for me is The Family Stone. Funny, with good drama mixed in.

Also, I'm still a sucker for The Muppet Christmas Carol.

It's a Wonderful Life
Christmas Vacation
Elf
Rudolph
The Grinch (the cartoon)
Charlie Brown Christmas

The last three all remind me of being a kid and brings back that Christmas feeling.

The rule in our house is no Christmas music or movies until it's December. I eased that last year to 'until the day after Thanksgiving'. It's just so that when the kids are big they will associate this music and these movies specifically with Christmas.

I love "It's A Wonderful Life" now that it's not on 24/7. I still can watch "A Christmas Story", I don't have to listen to it 24/7 now, the kids are past that. I love all the old Bing Crosby movies.

Ah, yes. "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas" is the best cartoon ever. Boris Karloff made the cartoon what it is, in my opinion. :)

Grinch and the original version of, "Miracle on 34th Street." Oh, Christmas!

I am old school. The Jim Carey version does not trump the classic cartoon. :)

if your talking classic i'm with you.

"Scrooge" with Alastair Sim is another 'classic' must see Christmas movie.

That was the best one ever made, he was brilliant in it.

Some of my other favorites are Charlie Brown Christmas, How the Grinch stole christmas, Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol and Rudolph, the classic from the 1960's.

Back then it's sole sponsor was General Electric and it used to be called the General Electric Fantasy Hour. I am partial to this one for sentimental reasons.

Mr. Magoo's carol is just great and the songs are catchy.

It's a Wonderful Life is at the top of my list.

I love the classic Grinch too. And Rudolph, Frosty and the rest of the classic cartoons. But my favorite Christmas cartoon of all is The Year Without a Santa Claus. It cracks me up every time!
