RAMALLAH, (PIC)-- Fatah lawmaker Najat Abu Bakr accused the de facto ministry of finance in Ramallah city of corruption and administrative abuse, and demanded the Palestinian authority (PA) to form an inquiry committee to probe the financial infringements.

MP Abu Bakr said she obtained documents proving that two men only in the PA ministry of finance control the financial decision-making inside the ministry, especially with regard to the grants and tax breaks for big companies.

The MP underscored that this corruption contributed significantly to wasting millions of dollars which were supposed to enter the treasury.

She also noted that if this wasted money had been channeled regularly into the general budget, it would have solved the crisis of salaries and debts which she described as a man-made crisis.
