You can't be a facist and a socialist at the same time. They are on opposite sides of the political spectrum. Good god, I understand your dislike Obama but try to be a little rational and targeted in your criticism. You might retain what little credibility you have left.

Who the president happens to be has no bearing on the relationship we all have with the law enforcement authorities and the courts, it is where fascism meets the rabble they wish to control. These people calling Obama a fascist are apparently willing to accept fascism as long as a republican runs it because they had no problem until a democrat was elected.

Certainly there is but if the level of fascism is to be measured it is by how citizens are treated by the law and how much the populace is forcibly coerced rather than by other rather subjective things like propaganda.

Yes I agree, true defenders of Civil liberties face threats from the left and the right. Historically in the US the threats have been greater from the left. I don't believe that is any longer the case.

Yes I agree, true defenders of Civil liberties face threats from the left and the right. Historically in the US the threats have been greater from the left. I don't believe that is any longer the case.

The largest step this country ever made towards fascism was made when republicans controlled the government, I am speaking of course of the spasm of fear that created our DHS and the other knee-jerk reactions to terrorism. Once created, the domestic security apparatus of post 911 America was/is too powerful to ever be dismantled. I have no idea what you mean by civil liberties threats coming from the left, they are the only reason we have such things as rights after arrest or people other than white male land owners being able to vote.
