poor glock...already late to the party...

:eusa_shifty:

The mother already said she only asked him to not MENTION the bracelet in speechs and rallys but that she was ecstatic that he mentioned it during the debate... yeah, what a scum Obama is for giving her son a voice and face in this election... :eusa_silenced:

Silence, look at what you just did.

You just stopped the right wing circle jerk over this all over again. Now how will they spend their time if they can't complain about the bracelets?

Move on to actual issues? Lmao, I almost made myself believe that one.

Probably more threads about how Obama hates America, a Muslim, a socialist, or whatever "scary" term they're using today. :eusa_whistle:

She's obviously a screwed up woman, typical Democrat. And to cover up for Obama. It's pitiful, shameless.

Her son died in Iraq. I think that SHE can decide how she wants to react to that, and not you. You were all "omg, respect her wishes" until you disagreed with her wishes. Your thoughts on the matter don't matter one whit, hers does.

Dear Madam,

I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the Republic they died to save.

I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.

Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,

A. Lincoln

It's as true today as it was over 100 years ago, a famlies love for their son or daughter who gave up their lives for their country is their OWN and we as citizens should respect their wishes and honor their sacrifice. It does not MATTER squat who does the honoring as far as I'm concerened that's not the point, the point is that the person that laid down their lives so that we may sit here and debate this issue is the point. So if Barack Obama or John McCain wish to honor a solidier by wearing a bracelet then it should have NOTHING to do with what party they happen to belong to.

How about this: Neither candidate should have mentioned the damn bracelet. They were both exploiting someone's death for political gain no matter what the parents said.

She went to an Obama rally, a huge clue right there that she's screwed up. Divorced and her old man basically confirms that she's nuts: clue #2. Tells Obama not to do it, he does anyway and has to read her son's name off the bracelet, then she suddenly changes her mind and says its OK: clue #3. Either that or his Chicago thugs threatened to kill her and her 12 cats.
