Fake Tea Party exposed? Oakland County Dems force resignation after alleged fraud

The Oakland County Democratic Party says it has requested and accepted the resignation of operations director Jason Bauer in the wake of accusations he notarized campaign filings for a fake Tea Party candidate.

"We are saddened by this situation, but cannot condone his alleged actions," the OCDP said Sunday in a released statement. "For the sake of the organization, we must part ways effective immediately."

In Michigan, a group claiming to be the “Tea Party” has put 23 candidates on the ballot around the state, despite not having any known connections to established conservative or tea party groups. It was suspected that this was part of a plot by Democratic operatives to split the Republican vote in November. Now a Democratic party official is being forced to resign for his role in the scheme, and may even have engaged in illegal activity:

No wonder dems accused the repubs of putting up fake canidates like Alvin Greene-- they were doing it all over the country to make the Tea Party look bad.
 
This is standard political practice.

There's at least one "Democrat" State Senators in NY, who's campaigns were funded entirely by the state Republican party interests, simply because a (R) can't get elected in the city.

Sorry, standard operating procedure to file at least 23 fake sworn notarized campaign filings. That sounds a lot like fraud. Some people did not even know they were supposedly running.

Fraud is somewhat standard operating procedure. Politics is a dirty business.

thats not legal fraud....

Well, it is, according to NY State election law. But that's besides the point, that senator is the most notoriously corrupt politician in NY (which is saying something).
