I hear all about internet and talk radio needs to be "fair," but not one word about all the control that there is on the television networks. Please tell me how television is fair and balanced?

This is sick.

 Way to announce your presence with authoratah!

The left control the TV , they do not need "fairness" there. The "fairness" doctrine is nothing more than an attempt to force us to hear crap we do not want to hear. Left wing drivel that no one wants to pay for.

That is crap retired. You won't have to listen to anything you don't want to. Turn the dial to another one of the conservative stations that are out there like lemmings.

Left wing radio makes money. That sound bite is a lie. Funny how Air America didn't die even if Rusbot said it would.:doubt:

What the hell are you afraid of? People getting two sides to a story?

Nope, what are you afraid of? If you do not FORCE stations to air shit they do not want to your message won't be heard?

Air America LOSES money. Hell they screwed their investors and refused to pay for air time. And the reason? The same reason that left wing talk shows do so poorly across the nation, no one wants to listen to the shit. If they did, guess what retard? It would sell and be as big as right wing talk shows.

You are clearly among the most uninformed participants on this forum.

People already have access to the other "side" - it's called NPR.

Air America is the perfect example of the lackluster performance of liberal radio. What the fairness doctrine will attempt to do is force stations to carry this failure - thus completely breaking apart the free market of talk radio. Supporters of the Fairness Doctrine want to once again subsidize a failing business - liberal talk radio. Additionally, the regulatory measures that could be taken against conservative radio are potentially such that it would make its continued existence far more costly and risky to those private owned stations. Your support of this measure is either willful ignorance, or an outright attack on freedom.

Or, perhaps you are simply a complete moron.

actually, its to force radio stations to drop talk radio only formats
and they would have to give some loser lib 3 hours on their station if they have Rush on for 3 hours
what local station could afford to give up half of its income and stay on the air?
its an attempt to silence conservative radio
PERIOD

One night, a predominately conservative talk radio station in Philadelphia tried putting a loud mouth, insulting liberal in a popular time slot. I was a bit surprised to hear this format, but more surprised at the host's method of delivering his message. Needless to say, the call-in audience didn't appreciate this guy's message or delivery method and ripped him a new one. It was extremely entertaining, but I never heard from that host again. I suspect many people called into the station's management and read them the riot act. I also wouldn't have been surprised if some of the paid sponsors/advertisers threaten to pull their advertising spots. Money talks.

Clearly, but do not expect these libs in here to admit it.

They have never been for free speech. The only speech they care about it that which they agree with. They would be happy to silence anyone who does not agree with them.
