If there is anyone making money, you bet Obama will tax it.

Well... The main reason being that the government doesn't get paid if the economy isn't good. And of course he would absolutely have to cut spending. Have to... No choice. No more undeclared wars.

Edit: Although I personally believe it's wrong, I wouldn't get rid of income tax for quite some time after a consumption tax is introduced. Just get rid of the rest of them.
