Facial hair: Yes or no?

I posted this elsewhere on here once, but I worked with a lady who shaved her chin, I kid you not!

(and she was in her early 40's)

Bloody hell!

A friend of mine in England when I was younger (lovely, pretty girl, called Sarah) had a bit of an issue with hair on her upper lip. She had black hair which of course made it more noticeable.

She came in to work one day and it was gone (the hair, not work). She said she had had it "lasered", as I recall, and said this prevented it ever growing back. I have no idea if this is true or even possible.

I also have no idea why I just told you all that. It's not nearly as interesting as your hairy-chinned workmate.

I know a girl in her twenties who has quite dark facial hair in patches on her chin and cheeks if she doesn't remove it. It's just a hormone thing. What really bugs me is when just one hair follicle goes berserk for no reason and starts producing one long, wiry hair out of nowhere.

Oh, yeah. Laser hair removal, like electrolysis, basically stops the hair follicle from producing hair. I think it takes more than one treatment to have that permanent effect, though. And I'm told it's comparably painful to plucking your facial hair. Seems like a couple-three occasions of pain to get rid of hair permanently beats plucking every week or two forever.

Currently, medium long hair and clean shaven.

I had a full beard once, but it was kind of a hassle to maintain. Plus, I'd ride my bike to work and have icicles hanging from it in the winter. Super freaky!

The stache never appealed to me. It kind of seems like a 70's male porno star look.

But, the handle bar mustache rocks! Maybe I'll get me one of those someday.
