In case you're wondering why a former NFL player is working UPS, NFL players weren't making that much money in the late 70's early 80's when Calvin was playing. Multi Million dollar contracts are a fairly recent thing, and even those are limited to the Super Stars.

Even Hall of Fame QB Johnny Unitas was poor when he passed away.
 
Marijuana is legal in LA so it's not surprising that so many people are unemployable. Not to mention that the business climate is so hostile, many companies have left. A lot moved to Orange County. That's booming. Individual cities in The OC have also fought back with city ordinances and business permit allocation to severely limit the pot clinics.

The only proper response to this kind of news is Ho Hum.
