Following the Trump administration’s firing of FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe just hours before he was supposed to retire, former CIA Director John Brennan has fired back at the president in what may be the harshest public criticism by any former CIA boss of a sitting U.S. president.

“When the full extent of your venality, moral turpitude, and political corruption becomes known, you will take your rightful place as a disgraced demagogue in the dustbin of history,” Brennan tweeted Saturday in response to a tweet by President Donald Trump attacking McCabe and former FBI Director James Comey.


“You may scapegoat Andy McCabe, but you will not destroy America...America will triumph over you,” Brennan added.

I guess there are no restrictions on former CIA people engaging in treason lite and undermining republican administrations. It kind of sheds some light on the CIA's public attack on the Bush administration during Brennan's tenure. After the epic failure of the CIA in 9-11 they doubled down and accused the Bush administration of "outing" socialite Valerie Plame when they should have known it was journalist Robert Novak. After leaks and treason there are no more secrets so what do we need the CIA for?
