Obama has been slowly making the cost of living go up through regulations, and has been causing income-stagnation. The result is more and more are living in poverty. The reward for hard work isn't a comfortable living but accusations of being a greedy bastard.

"Spread the wealth" was fear mongering propoganda to go along with the obamas a socialist meme you guys trotted out to scare people, albeit the progressive tax system had been around for AGES and are not anywhere near their record high rates.

"Income inequality" is a pointing out of the bery real and growing income disparity in the Country.

A further note. The article notes one of the organizers of the group “Dream Defenders”, a leader of the general Black Lives Matter effort, is former Occupier Nelini Stamp. But it goes back further than that. Before Occupy, Nelini Stamp was part of New York’s ‘Working Families Party’, which was a front group for…wait for it… ACORN.

Most of the organizers have a similar background of the ‘professional protester'; it didn’t start with Occupy for many, Stamp being an excellent example of this.

Before Occupy showed up on the streets of NYC in September of 2011, it was recruiting on Anonymous forums for boots on the ground, and from other anarchist, communist and leftist groups. And not only people from this country. Indeed, some of the folks involved in NYC had had experience in agitating in Spain against austerity. Because the idea is not just one to apply to America. Hence one of the major Twitter accounts of Occupy, @GlobalRevolution (not shy about putting out the actual goal), manned by folks who weren’t even American citizens. There were people like Marisa Holmes, who was a leader in NYC Occupy (yes there were real organizers, real leaders), and who had been part of the new SDS. She also went to Egypt to agitate against the government of Hosni Mubarak.
