Does capitalism remind you of Socrates?

TRON: I think capitalism is really about imagination...
SCARECROW: There's fun in communism too!
TRON: I disagree; socialist systems create dictators/fascists.
SCARECROW: Capitalism creates pirates/tycoons.
TRON: Power-merchants in capitalism do not imprison competitors.
SCARECROW: Socialist systems become oppressive by virtue of governance.
TRON: Capitalism is only corrupt because of human yearning...
SCARECROW: Socialism is redeemed because of teamwork.
TRON: Capitalism is redeemed because of sportsmanship.
SCARECROW: Do you think there's corruption in modern sports?
TRON: Steroids and free-agency become maladies...
SCARECROW: There are many optimistic sports-culture movies.
TRON: I like Jerry Maguire (Tom Cruise) and Blue Chips (Nick Nolte)!
SCARECROW: The biggest flaw in capitalism is that it creates harlots.
TRON: There may be 'fortune-groupies' and prostitution, but there's also beauty!
SCARECROW: There is beauty in Las Vegas, but also Babylon-esque gloom.
TRON: Imagine you meet a beautiful Vegas showgirl and fall in love with her.
SCARECROW: Such a 'muse' would be the opposite of Medusa...
TRON: Medusa is the ancient-world demon-goddess of hypnosis/obsession.
SCARECROW: Medusa would say, "Capitalism creates mindless lust."
TRON: Perhaps we can re-orient such 'focused nihilism' for marketing!
SCARECROW: Are you talking about Super Bowl ads?
TRON: Precisely; think of how the Sports Illustrated swimsuit-issue creates idealism.
SCARECROW: I can agree; those swimsuit-issues promote 'pornography forgiveness.'
TRON: Yes, otherwise, people might say, "Capitalism creates too much junk-food."
SCARECROW: Let's refer to modernism-sociology then as 'Medusa Capitalism.'

After Tron and Scarecrow concluded their iconic debate about the contours of capitalism and the symbolic relevance of the demon-goddess Medusa, Scarecrow decided to purchase a Ouija board on eBay and play with it on Halloween Eve to invoke the underworld spirit of Medusa. When Scarecrow believed Medusa appeared to him, right before his eyes, he asked her, "Do you like Starbucks?" to which the obsession-nihilist snake-headed demon-goddess coolly replied, "Anything promoting 'candy-consciousness' (e.g., Starbucks) is surely divine!" It was a truly 'odd' moment in the history of civilization.
