Evil Republicans limit public union collective bargaining rights again!

uh huh. how is it substantively different?

other than being implemented by republicans, that is.

Well del, then I guess driving through a school zone at 80 mph is exactly the same as doing 40 in a 35.

good non answer.

too bad you can't take off the hack blinders once in awhile.

I said I don't support what the Democrats did del. But it is not equal to what Walker did in Wisconsin. The Democrats are too spineless to do the right thing, raise taxes on millionaires. We have the same problem in NY, Cuomo plans to let the state’s highest income-tax rate expire. That means this economic crisis will hurt the people who can least afford it, the middle class and poor.

There are no strong liberals like Truman or the Kennedys today.

Public Sector Union employees simply make too much money for the taxpayers to afford to pay them. It sucks for everyone.

I would be up in arms if the politicians were going after private sector unions but they aren't, its only public sector and I approve of the desire to reduce the labor costs that are paid for with tax dollars.

False.

The national nonpartisan Economic Policy Institute (EPI), found in Wisconsin that state and local employees earn 4.8% less per hour in total compensation than their peers in the private sector. That number jumps to 25% for college-educated employees. EPI found that, on average, Wisconsin’s public employees with a bachelor’s degree earn $61,668 in total compensation; their peers working for private employers earn $82,134 in wages and benefits.
Are Public Employees Overpaid?

The link goes to a left wing rag site with no link to the EPI.

unless it's well hidden.

Typical part of the tactics many people use. The S.I.N. tactic

Shift the subject...if that doesn't work
Ignore the facts....if that doesn't work
Namecall.

I will do this for you just this one time, if you get stuck again, ask your nanny, OK?

Public-sector workers earn less

Ummmm i just dug through links within that link and they aren't linking back to any raw data from any non-partisan or government sources.

just saying they didn't back up what they claimed with legitmacy. If they did and I missed it then share the link with me.

interesting

All that showed was it doesn't pay to get an education and work for the state.

There was zero comparison based on how long a person has done a certain job.

that's just not enough.

compare starting to starting pay, and 20 year pay to 20 year pay.

The GOP is doing a nice job of villifying the teachers, firefighters, police, etc. They have made these people out to be worse than the taliban. Yet the corporations will walk away laughing. Those that wish for all this to happen are voting themselves right into a bigger plutocracy than already exists. It's fine for them to pay in more, but to take away some seniority for those that have dedicated their lives to their jobs? This is stupid. The snowplow drivers NEED TO REMEMBER THIS NEXT TIME THERE IS A BLIZZARD....take your time boys....tell the business owners to stick it. When wages are cut, so should the motivation be cut.

Hey you evil fucking bastard;

The union thugs did that in NYC this winter.

People died b/c ambulances couldn't get to them you dumb fucking cock sucking evil little moron.

It is BULLSHIT right wing propaganda...It was Republican New York City Councilman David Halloran who first suggested unions were behind the unplowed streets.

"They sent a message to the rest of the city that these particular labor issues are more important," Halloran told The New York Post.

Halloran cited three anonymous city workers to make his point.

George Will scapegoats unions over NY snow jam

You partisan HACK

You're happy people died aren't you?

We say video of them sitting around eating donoughts for hours. Video of them driving over snow, plows up!

admit that you support the unions over the lives of the elderly.

Confess you hate old people when you don't get your petty fucking demands met.

Democrats have done a fabulous job convincing ignorant voters that they are fighting for the poor, the working people, and the needy. This exposes the charade.

So on the other hand you're admitting that this is an attack on the poor, the working people, and the needy? That's refreshing!!

.

I'm not even sure in what world you got that out of what he said...

This shows the problem with collective bargaining for public sector unions.

“It’s pretty stunning,’’ said Robert J. Haynes, president of the Massachusetts AFL-CIO. “These are the same Democrats that all these labor unions elected. The same Democrats who we contributed to in their campaigns. The same Democrats who tell us over and over again that they’re with us, that they believe in collective bargaining, that they believe in unions. . . . It’s a done deal for our relationship with the people inside that chamber.’’

This is the main problem. The unions spend millions to get these politicians elected then the politicians roll over and give the unions millions back in unsubstainable perks and huge pay increases.

YOUR main problem, the facts don't support your claims. Public sectors employees make less than private sector employees. But don't let facts deter your dogma.

Obama got like 67 million in union donations in 2008... "Perks" like that hurt us.... Nm, you’re the idiot that said 80 VS 40 MPH based on Democrat = 40 and EVIL VILE BABY RAPING REPUBLICAN = 80 in school zone....

And a war monger, assuming he actually was an (R) and not a (D). Then he would just be helping people, and not for oil.

third time may be the charm.

what's the difference in the two bills that makes walker an evil vindictive enemy of the people?

ted kennedy was unfit to hold public office, imo.

Let me ask you del, what do you believe is the intent of the Mass bill? What do you believe is the intent of the Wisconsin bill?

based on your hysterically inappropriate analogy, one would think you could have told me the difference in a heartbeat.

several tens of thousands of heartbeats later you're still evading it.

why is this so difficult for you, my little hacklet?

He learned we are checking his links and invalidating them. It's hard to be truthfull when you are learning you've been betrayed, and actually admit that you didn't see it coming.

I am not defending the actions of Democrats in Mass, it is spineless they refuse to raise taxes on millionaires

How much higher can Massachusetts raise taxes on these people before they up and leave for New Hampshire right next door which has no income or sales tax? You people think you can force everyone to pay for your socialist agenda, but you can't. You forget that they can get up and leave and go somewhere else where you can't extort their heard earned income through paid off politicians. Wealthy people are leaving New York and California and Illinois and New Jersey because they've had enough of paying for your ass while all you do in return is turn around and demonize them for it. Real gratitude there.

Anybody who cannot see that the oncoming plutocracy is coming is frankly an idiot. This country is going to be controlled solely by the corporations who will eventually go after the poor mans right to vote. I guarantee it. It will happen in the usa. What we are seeing is simply the beginning.

If we are going to lower taxes on corporations fine. Then to get this tax decrease all corporations who have operations overseas should NOT get the tax cut until they bring all those jobs over here. And of course they will have to pay a much higher wage. If they dont want to comply then they are ANTI AMERICAN. Even Donald duck trump said this. But you never hear any politician say that because oh my its a regulation on a business. Heaven forbid.

del, you are the one who set the premise of the thread. You titled it: 'Evil Republicans limit public union collective bargaining rights again!' So the premise you chose is intent.

We know from Governor Walker's phone conversation with who he thought was David Koch that his intent in Wisconsin is to bust public unions, and he refused to negotiate in good faith. THAT is evil intent.

So all you need to do is provide some proof that the intent of Deval Patrick and Democrats in Mass is to bust public unions and refuse to negotiate in good faith.

Governor Patrick has stated: "I’m not going to sign a Wisconsin-type bill in the end. We’re going to have a meaningful role for labor, and we’re going to deliver on the savings for municipalities.”

The governor says the provision will be modified as it makes its way through the legislative process, adding there is room for debate and that he will be more involved as the provision gets closer to his desk.

You're up, hack away del...

The reason the drones prefer to have the federal government is precisely the fact that people can't run away when the idiocy of their disastrous policies becomes manifest.

Anyone who thinks it takes courage for politicians to raise taxes on the rich is too stupid for words to adequately describe.
