FDR was at fault for allowing Pearl Harbor to happen, the same way George Bush was responsible for 9/11.
FDR then went on to win a massive war against Japan and their ally, Germany, leading to the most prosperous period in US history.
Bush went on to invade a country that had nothing to do with the surprise attack, put our nation into massive debt, and then crash the economy just in time for his successor to take office.

I saw this guy on CNN tonight trying to defend his claims he couldn't it was really funny watching him try and explain why the 9-11 commission did not come up with the same results he did. The guy came off as a pathetic partisan hack trying to use the tragedy for political purposes in a election year. Interesting comparision here FDR had lots of warnings about a attack by Japan yet we were got off guard at Pearl Harbor the reason being the warnings pointed to attacks on bases overseas spread across the Pacific not Pearl Harbor. 9-11 has a very similar ring to it if your willing to look past the partisan ideology and see it.

No the truth is FDR is not responsible for it in both Pearl Harbor and 9-11 there were warnings and signs that a enemy wanted to attack and in both cases there was never any evidence to show that either Pearl or the twin towers was the primary target. Despite all the this talk there has never been any evidence brought forward to show that Japan would hit Pearl on December 7th the same with 9-11 no evidence showing a attack was planned for New York and the twin towers on September 11th. On the 11th anniversary of the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil, there is mounting evidence that the Bush administration received more intelligence warnings than previously known prior to the Sept. 11 attacks that killed nearly 3,000.
Kurt Eichenwald, a former New York Times reporter, wrote in an op-ed piece in Tuesdays newspaper about a number of previously unknown warnings relayed to the White House by U.S. intelligence in the weeks and months prior to the attacks. Eichenwald wrote of the warnings in his new book, 500 Days: Secrets and Lies in the Terror Wars.
And former US intelligence officials say there were even more warnings, pointing to a little noticed section of George Tenets memoir, At the Center of the Storm.
In it, Tenet describes a July 10, 2001, meeting at the White House in the office of Condoleezza Rice, then President George W. Bushs national security adviser. The meeting was not discussed in the 9-11 Commissions final report on the attacks, although Tenet wrote that he provided information on it to the commission.

And the last report to the Security Counsel from Hans Blix, who's job it was to determine whether they were cooperating, did not state they were in breach of 1441.The First Gulf War was never legally, or official Ended with a Truce, there was a UN Cease Fire in Effect, a provision of which was the No Fly Zone, and Iraqi Compliance with Inspections which they never fully did. Iraq was in Direct Violation of the Terms of the 1991 Cease Fire Agreement for the Entire 12 Years between the 2 wars, Both by not cooperating with Inspections, and by Firing on US and other Nations Planes patrolling the No Fly Zone flying UN flags.
