Clear evidence of the importance of Jerusalem to Muslims: Facing Mecca in prayer, their asses facing the allegedly sacred Dome of the Rock  :clap2:

Congratulations on providing evidence that Mecca is more important.

I will say this in your support. There's no evidence that Mohammed visited Jerusalem or that the Dome of the Rock was anything other than a mosque. When the mosque was built, it was not mentioned as the spot Mohammed ascended into heaven.

However, even if you dismiss that Muslim belief (and it is a belief), there is still religion significance of Jerusalem to Muslims. Jerusalem is the land of all the prophets before Mohammed. It's where Jesus died, who Muslims believe to be not only an important prophet, but the only man to have never sinned.

Mahomet couldn't have visited any "al aqsa' mosque in Jerusalem because there was no mosque  Mahomet croaked in 632 AD, but, it wasn't until AFTER he croaked that Muslims invaded Jerusalem in 638 AD. Prior to the Muslim invasion, there were no Muslims in Jerusalem, no mosques in Jerusalem and only Christian churches built by the Byzantines.

Islam is a scam.

That's what I said. The important thing, though, is not that it is true, but that it's been believed to be true for a very long time. Jerusalem is still the land of the prophets and the land of Jesus, which many Muslims consider very important.

And GHook, your Homer Simpson quote in your sig is off. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hUVwR0rw5fk"]To alcohol! The cause of, and solution to, all of life's problems.[/ame] One of my favorite Simpsons' quotes. Another good one is "Beer. Now, there's a temporary solution."

Jesus was not a Muslim. Nor, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses.

That Mahomet made up a fairy tale that Jesus, Abraham and Moses were Muslims, who lived hundreds and thousands of years before Mahomet was born and Islam invented, is part of the Islamic psychosis.

Muslim just means "one who submits to God." While Christians don't believe Jesus to be subservient to God (being that he is God), we do believe that Abraham and Moses are. Islam does not say Jesus, et. al. followed what Muhammad had to say, as they were his precursors in the Islamic faith.

Here's what Muslims believe about Jesus:

"It states that Jesus was born to Maryam (Mary) as the result of virginal conception, a miraculous event which occurred by the decree of Allah (God). To aid in his ministry to the Jewish people, Jesus was given the ability to perform miracles (such as healing the blind, bringing dead people back to life, etc.), all by the permission of God rather than of his own power."

"According to the popular opinion and Muslim traditions, Jesus was not crucified but instead, he was raised up by God unto the heavens. This "raising" is understood to mean through bodily ascension."

"Muslims believe that Jesus will return to earth near the day of judgment to restore justice and to defeat "the false messiah" (Masih ad-Dajjal)."

Essentially, they believe Jesus was the last prophet for the Jewish people.

Muslims believe Jesus was Muslim, even though Jesus lived 600 years before the Islamic Era began. Did Mahomet travel back in time to convert Jesus?

Do the math. Muslims are not the sharpest knives in the drawer.

I guess if you won't read, I'll just repeat myself.

Quran 2.136:
Say ye: "We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to Allah (in Islam).

Translation: Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moses were Muslims, except, they existed 2000 years before Islam.

Quran 2.087:
We gave Moses the Book and followed him up with a succession of messengers; We gave Jesus the son of Mary Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the holy spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you a messenger with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride?- Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay!

Translation: Jesus was sent by Allah, who supported him with the Holy Spirit to tell the world Allah's will.

Jesus lived 600 years before Islam.

Quran 3:45...
Behold! the angels said: "O Mary! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honour in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah;

Translation: Allah appointed Mary to be the virgin mother of Jesus, the Messiah

Quran 4.158...
Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise

Translation: Allah gathered Jesus and caused him to be resurrected and ascended to Allah himself

Islam, the religion of reverse time travel :clap2:
