Not sure if this is possible...as there may be a specific scientific reason as to why these particular freqs are used.

The 24GB band is next to band used by NOAA and NASA. The article says they are afraid it might bleed over into the band they use. If that happens then equipment has to be modified because it is illegal go outside your assigned band.
