Even if Ron Paul was elected president, there is no way he would be able to do...

... a lot of what he is proposing.

Get rid of the federal reserve? The IRS? The Department of Education? The EPA? Him and what army? Congress will never allow it.

If you are voting for Ron Paul, then you are just naive.

You'd be surprised how many of these departments exist solely due to executive regulations. If the President repeals all the regulation, he could shrink the size of government conserably. Once people realize life goes on without the bureaucracy, he could get congressional support.

It's not really going to matter though.

Wrong I know very well that Ron Paul won't be able to do the more radical things he proposes, I have made that point over and over. That said, he WILL be able to do a great many good things, the things that he and the GOP agree on. I am pretty sure he will be able to at least audit the Fed which would be a very good thing, many in the GOP also want to get rid of the useless and wasteful DoE, and the expensive, bloated and destructive EPA. The things, and there are many, that RP and the GOP agree on will get done. That is a very good thing.

Have any of you bothered to read his plans?

Wouldn't surprise if you hadn't since he doesn't post it on his website, unless of course you want to buy his books

If RP did what he proposed, (massive cuts) this nations's economy would go into a depression, a serious depression.

He seems to think that he could make those drastic cuts and that wouldn't do anything but balance the budget.

He's wrong.

Yes, I have read his plans. I have been a member of the Libertarian Party for about 10 years. You are wrong, his policies would do EXACTLY the opposite. They would shrink the size of government, help to balance the budget AND reduce the deficit.

Yes, but how? How in the hell could he possibly do it?

Congressional support from democrats? Unlikely.

R.P., like Barry, will have zero ability to fulfill any of his campaign rhetoric.
Their bosses wont stand for it.
Your vote means nothing. The suit at the teleprompter is irrelevant.

You are willfully ignorant if you think Obama hasn't fulfilled any of his campaign promises.
