Everyone on here seems aimed at bad mouthing McCain, but what even qualifies Obama to be in this race? He hasn't led anything, and has no more foreign affairs experience than Palin who is the repub VP. Obama will lead us towards a socialist country, with handouts and programs that gov't has no business getting involved with. And I can tell you that as an American soldier I do not want the war in Iraq to end without us finishing what we have started. To cut ties and leave as Obama would like, means that all of my friends that have died there died for no reason at all.

Republicans want to make Obama the issue because they have no issues of their own.

Obama's priorities are getting out of Iraq, universal healthcare, and American energy independence. These happen to be the three greatest priorities for America right now.

Getting out of Iraq will save us $200 billion dollars a year and bring our brave troops home to their families. American troops should not be sent in harm's way unless there is a COMPELLING NATIONAL INTEREST. Which was not the case with Iraq.

Every other Western democracy has universal healthcare except the United States, and they pay HALF per capita what we pay for healthcare, and they cover everyone. Why? Because a single payer system has inherent cost savings.

America's dependence on foreign oil is the most important security issue America faces. Clean energy technology is already available and only requires the political will to develop it.

Making these three issues his top priorities shows the wisdom and judgement that Obama has. That is why I am voting for him.

Yes, I do work. And yes, I sometimes get a refund, and I sometimes have to pay more, depending on how well I've kept up with my taxes over the year. But I've never gotten back more than I put in.

Universal healthcare is a joke! That is why thousands of people from all over the world come to the US for our healthcare. With Universal healthcare you have more than month long waits to even be seen let alone helped for everyday ailments. The cost of this project alone is 10X far greater than the money spent on the war. If you do not like the healthcare that you have get off your ass and improve yourself. Find a better job with better healthcare, but don't make those of us that want no part of it pay for others laziness.
The troops that are in Iraq volunteered to be there.....No one seems to want to remember that fact. No one held a gun to there head and made them sign up, and as I said earlier let us finish what we started.
As far as energy, McCain supports it all including opening up Alska for drilling which is something all the liberals don't want to have happen. That along with expanded nuclear power will free us of foreign oil.

And I see no one really answered the question I asked in the last post....What has Obama done to be ready to lead? It's not an attempt to smear, although through these posts I see the left has no problem attacking McCain.

I vote against my own interests because I don't think it's in the best interests of the country for a huge percentage of the population to get BACK more money than they put IN for taxes. I'd rather see small businesses getting the break, or employers of large numbers of people, so they can continue to expand, produce and hire.

We don't have the best healthcare in the world. 47 million people in this country have no healthcare.

They export their patients? How many American seniors go to Canada and Mexico to buy their prescriptions?

No, our healthcare system is bloated, expensive, and inefficient and about to fail. We spend twice per capita what other Western countries pay for healthcare, almost 16% of our GDP. Soon it will be 20%. Between that, the war in Iraq, our dependence on foreign oil, and Bush's deficit, we will be bankrupt soon. And it will all be your fault for voting Republican.

We have a lower life expectancy because americans as a whole are fat and lazy, we drive everywhere instead of walking or biking, stay behind our computers instead of getting out and moving/exercising. I am sure that our infancy rate is tied to the fact that we have so many young kids, and immature women getting pregnant, and not taking care of thereself or there baby.

3. You are correct that at the beginning of the war the US was not prepaired to take care of the troops but I assure you that that has changed. Our vehicles have been upgraded as well as our body armor.

Plenty of troops complain, hell some kill themselves rather then go back. But you know what? The media won't tell you about that. Same reason why Bush doesn't want pictures of the caskets of dead soldiers.
