Cons continue to say Trump is popular.

    Europe's pent-up fury with Trump

European Council President Donald Tusk expressed a frustration that’s been bubbling up across Europe this week when he said of President Trump, “with friends like that, who needs enemies?”

Why it matters: Outraged that Trump spurned their pleas on the Iran deal, fearing the prospect of U.S. sanctions on steel and aluminum and at odds with Trump on key issues like climate change and the U.S. embassy move in Israel, Europe’s leaders are warning they could go their own way.

It’s not about popularity. The top priority of the American President, ANY American President, must be, what is best for America.

While the Iran deal was very lucrative for France, Germany, and the rest of the EU, it was a bad deal for America.

Europeans are welcome to do what is best for them, but America can put strong economic pressure on those who act against the welfare of the United States.

"with friends like that who needs enemies"? they really are clever, especially the way they gave Britain her independence from them...they are socialists who sound just like our crying brood here, and how are they going to go their own way? did they explain that or just hope we are dumb enough to believe it.

Europeans don't vote here. They are free to go where they will. We are free to remove our security umbrella.

A ridiculous statement. That ANYONE that is president of the US always does what is best for the US. The current idiot disproves that in spades. The ignorants following him excuse everything the POS does no matter how egregious. And he's had a year of egregious.

Face it cons, he's destroying all the goodwill the US has garnered since WW2. He doesn't do anything in the best interest of the US, he acts only to satisfy his own childish ego. Buy a clue.

    I support free-trade. Beyond that...........

So all the countries that have been hammering on America for decades, and complaining they can't have our protection, at our cost..... whose economies wouldn't exist without our markets.....

Are enraged.... and you think we should care.

    Got it.

Ok, shocking notice for you.... we don't.

Let the EU go their own way. Let them.

Let them ruin their economies with bad regulations supposedly to fix the climate.

Let them defend themselves instead of using our tax money, to avoid funding their own defense.

Let them deal with a nuclear Iran after they allow them to continue funding terrorism across the world.

LET THEM GO THEIR OWN WAY. By all means. Don't let the door hit them on the way out.

You want to know why you and those like you, are here complaining about this? Because if the US were to ditch all of Europe, the EU would implode on their socialist policies like Venezuela.

You people are such a joke. You say that America is evil, and damages countries around the world. You say our capitalism is trash, and has no benefit. You say we are a terrible and evil.

Then someone like Trump comes along, and say 'screw you' to the UN, and all of Europe, and everyone around the world.... and immediately you are on here.... complaining we can't ditch Europe! We can't withdraw from the world stage! We can't pull out of all these involvements around the world!

Well screw you too sir! We don't care about all those babbling idiots in Europe, that can't even admit they have an immigration problem, even while Germany is shipping people back to Greece, where they live in filthy holding areas. Then they bitch at us for not taking more of them.

We don't care what Europe thinks. Get that through your head. Non-argument.

I think Bush did what he really thought was best for the US. Obama most certainly did not, helping Iran become a regional power, and letting North Korea become a larger threat.

Clinton surely didn't. Here's a guy that made the case that for national security, we had to remove Saddam from power, that we had to go in and verify the destruction of WMDs, and that we knew he was trying to make connections with known terrorist groups.

But the moment people protested us going into Iraq, Billy Clinton backed down, and suddenly that whole national security problem wasn't nearly as important as his approval numbers.

That's one of the reasons I respected Bush. Bush knew he wasn't going to be popular for going into Iraq, and he didn't care, because he believed he was doing what was right.

Basically, all of the left-wing is exactly what you just said. They are in it for themselves, before the country. The right-wing is in it for the country, and you can tell because they do what they think is right for the country, even if sniveling snotty left-wingers hate them for it.

You know you are doing what is right, when the left-wing starts screaming about it.

The fact that Europe is pissed off is a good thing. They've had sweet heart trade deals, and military protection for many, many decades from the U.S. That is about to lessen, so they are upset. We aren't their bitch anymore.

Also Russia, and Iran their ally are mad, and that's also a good thing. China too. Good!!! It is about time.

IF Europe wants or intends to be great let them do it on their OWN. THIS election was about taking care of AMERICA. Nothing about that was hidden.
