I find it fascinating that the Spanish Conquistadors could travel 1,200 miles from their base in Mexico City to the Kansas, Okc. border with cannons and supplies and still engage an Indian stronghold.

Not sure it's an accurate assumption but going by the suits of armor some allegedly wore they were abut the size of today's 11 or 12 year olds, except much thinner; must have tough little terriers.
