Swaziland king changes the country's name
There are not many people in the world who are able to change the name of a nation. But King Mswati can - he is one of the world's few absolute monarchs.
King Mswati III of Swaziland announced on Wednesday that he was renaming the country "the Kingdom of eSwatini".
The monarch announced the official change in a stadium during celebrations for the 50th anniversary of Swazi independence.
Apparently he was concerned that Swaziland sounded too much like Switzerland. Austria and Australia always get mixed up. And there are two Koreas and Irelands and dont get started on all the Stan countries that used to be part oif Russia.
I quite like the sound of Eswatini and hope that the name change brings them prosperity.They might start by getting rid of the monarchy because he looks like a real fat bastard.
