Prior to 1965 Americans could carry firearms with them when traveling. After the airplanes were declared GUN FREE ZONES terrorists were able to hijack airplanes and kamikaze against the World Trade center.

By the way, at our local school inspite of the gun free zone we have two armed police on duty from first bell to last.

Seems the retarded American public doesn't understand that certain persons are exempt from the gun free zones.

PS this would apply to around the POTUS as well, as I assure you that that is a gun free zone and that only those with an exception may carry around him.

I'm ashamed of how stupid so many of my fellow Americans are.
