Eric Bolling Shares Heartwarming Story About President Trump Calling Him About His Son

Former Fox News host Eric Bolling shared a powerful story about President Trump calling him after his late son passed away from an opioid overdose at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) Thursday.

“I spoke to President Trump, in the deep, dark times that my wife and I were having,” Bolling explained. “We were going to sit down for the Thanksgiving dinner. There was an empty chair.”

“We are walking over to the table and the phone rang. It was President Trump who said, ‘Eric, no one should have to lose a child and we are thinking of you.’ Very, very important that he did that”

“He has been great,” Bolling added. “He showed empathy and compassion, so I used it as an opportunity to say, ‘Mr. President, can I come talk to you about this?’ And I have. I’ve gone to the White House a couple of times.”

Bolling lost his 19-year-old son Chase to an accidental opioid drug overdose last year.

The Liberals will try everything they can to smear President Trump, but they don’t acknowledge the man who is compassionate and does what he can to ease the pain of others. NO cameras, no photo ops, just trying to console another who is hurting.

Someone said the measure of a man is what he does when no one is looking. We should be proud to have such a compassionate president.

I am impressed! I thought there would be a barrage of negative Trump posts on this thread! I thank posters for being so thoughtful!

Trump isn't compassionate. Being compassionate involves being kind to all people. Trump only cares about his fox news clique and his Kool-aid aid drinkers.

If an MSNBC host lost a child, Bone Spur would probably go on a Twitter rant blaming them for their child's death somehow.

Even crazy people can be compassionate. But that's never been my problem with Trump. His leadership and principles are what I find wanting. He has no clear ideology, nor any sensible goals for the nation. He seems primarily focused on managing his own fragile ego.

It is good to hear he some human compassion. But that in no way changes my conclusion that he is utterly unfit to hold office.

I disagree. He is compassionate. We see it with people in need often. Those who have lost someone close, those in hurricanes and natural disasters and parents of children they lost. I don't think he looked at the political views any of those people had that he visited.

He has very clear ideology. It just doesn't agree with yours. I agree with his goals, but you apparently do not. He has an inflated ego just as many politicians do. And I agree...I, too get tired of it.

Oh, that is so funny! When I was writing about politicians and their egos, I though of doing just what you did...cite the number of time Barack Ego Obama refers to himself...
In the SOTU, they cited the number of times Trump refered to "WE" and how many times mr EGO refered to himself in all of his speeches! Thank you for posting this!

Let's face it slowing down the march of socialistic globalism is not a warm and fuzzy message to anybody and without abhorrent opponents such as Hillary, Obama's deep state, Durbin and Pelosi he could not have been elected. Three Outfit vetted opponents in those four names and yet some still take offense at me pointing out that the Ds are the political wing of organized crime. Go figure.

He has very clear ideology.

Alright. Maybe I just missed it. What would Trump say is the purpose of government?

1. Work for the people (eg, tax cuts, jobs for everyone, bringing back manufacturing to US,
2. Keeping Americans safe (building the military, limiting illegal aliens, vetting people coming into our country, limiting Islamic - Sharia believing people
3. Lowering unemployment - lowest unemployment in decades especially for blacks
4. Making Americans confident and properous - Renegotiating NAFTA, brought back investments to US

Old enough to have been in 3rd grade when Nixon was President. I have probably failed more students than you've had in class!

What do you want to know? How many I turned around because no one cared about the fact they were not learning? How many I helped find alternative paths for them to get their life under control? How many I kicked out of my school for being a drug dealer or a doper? How many I steered into the military to gain the self-discipline and structure they needed in their life?

Is that what you want to know? There are several thousand students per year that I have taught in my 21 years as an educator, plus raising my three kids and now raising two of my grandkids who live with me.

I just have no time for platitudes and lies about teachers. We don't deserve that.

No...I would like to hear how many days you walked out of that school, thinking YES!!! Richard caught on to what I was teaching! It took him a while, but there he is...learning to read like the others.! Giving the kids a high five when they do well! Writing a note to mom letting her know the James did a great job on his spelling test! Teaching can be the best drug you can take. It's a high like no others!
