I also forgot to mention the FACT that the photo of the polar bears was out of "context". The polar bears were not trying to find some ice to be on, they were in a large group that was playing and the land nearby was not shown in the photo used for the "global warming" crowd.

    31,000 scientists signed a petition....
Sorry this was being discussed in a different thread.

Home - Global Warming Petition Project

We urge the United States government to reject the global warming agreement that was written in Kyoto, Japan in December, 1997, and any other similar proposals. The proposed limits on greenhouse gases would harm the environment, hinder the advance of science and technology, and damage the health and welfare of mankind.

There is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of carbon dioxide, methane, or other greenhouse gasses is causing or will, in the foreseeable future, cause catastrophic heating of the Earth's atmosphere and disruption of the Earth's climate. Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the Earth.

Okay, thanks Jreeves. I, too, could sign the petition and pretend I'm a scientist and that would be just about as meaningless as the other 31,000.

We are going to go extinct pretty soon. It would be absurd to notion otherwise. Soon being the next 100k or so. The earth will adapt to what we have done, but it's a guessing game as to whether the earth will wipe us out because of what we do, or because of natural cycles. All I hope for is that we leave it the same for our kids, and save some f-ing oil for the times that other countries want to fight us for it. Energy is one of the most important, if not the most, resource in warfare. WW3 is coming eventually, and there's a damn good chance possession of oil reserves will determine the victor.

Click on the link. There's a form to fill out and mail in. I don't see how they verify anything.

I guess that's why you have to mail it in, instead of signing it on the internet huh, because there is no verfication process?
