Employee of a Business in The Worship Industry

Fair and simple taxes, a budget balanced by law and then build an economy your kids can drive to the stars.

:smoke: It ain't rocket science, y'all.

Favoritism among various industries via the tax code and the accompanying corruption it breeds must end.

9% income tax for all entities that can have a bank account and 9% general consumption tax. Simple. Fair. Predictable.

Can't be done, as taxing churches would be a violation of the first amendment.

No it wouldn't.

The ESTABLISHMENT clause states that the government can't establish a religion or play favorites. What would be wrong is to tax the Muslims but not the Christians.

Taxing them all the same is perfectly Constitutional.

There is a second clause. The free exercise clause. Which would make it illegal to do.

Free in that context means that you're as free as I am to believe whatever warped thing our little hearts desire, not that the worship industry be tax free. Even if the framers did want did want that particular activity to be free of taxes, times change..... worship is just another entertainment dollar spent, you can even get it on DVD.
