Watching news on Paris now and wanted to get on here to advise people not let themselves become angry. That's a normal reaction be sure, but it doesn't do you any good. And when we let ourselves become angry we stop thinking well. Terrorists would like nothing more than their latest terroristic act to result to local reprisals against Muslims by 'angry infidels.' That'd be a recruiting field day for them as they say "see this is Islam vs the infidels, they're attacking our brothers and sisters here!"

We can't do more than not do what they'd like us to. Don't become angry, don't rail against Islam because some psychopathic criminals are using it to rally support from some tiny fraction of Muslims. This has nothing to do with Islam beyond it's getting used by criminals to rally confused Muslims to their cause. This is no more an accurate depiction of Islam than an abortion clinic bomber is indicative of Christians.

Stay calm and think your feelings through.

"The ultimate weakness of violence is that it is a descending spiral,
begetting the very thing it seeks to destroy.
Instead of diminishing evil, it multiplies it.
Through violence you may murder the liar,
but you cannot murder the lie, nor establish the truth.
Through violence you may murder the hater,
but you do not murder hate.
In fact, violence merely increases hate.
So it goes.
Returning violence for violence multiplies violence,
adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness:
only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Yes...let's all be like the world leaders...do nothing.
Let's continue to weaken our military and our resolve...that'll teach them.
Lets join hands today and sing songs instead of act...perhaps they will put down their rifles and join us.
Doing absolutely nothing against an enemy has always worked so well across all of human history.

Unfortunately, we live in a world where "everyone getting along" won't happen.

Even if we approached that, human nature dictates someone will take advantage and strike.
The goal for world peace is a waste of time.

I'm not upset or outraged. It seems very normal for this type of thing to happen.
I guess I've become calloused. I think it's boring to talk about.
It concerns me because I feel almost sociopathic about it......

Never knew you were such a devout Baptist.

When you're right you're right. Even Jesus said some things I quote.

What is your excuse for parroting a false dilemma logical fallacy from Martin King?

Do you comprehend why the more intelligent people do not take logical fallacies as reasoned arguments?

You appear to have me confused with whatever brain damaged people you usually argue with.

You would probably like to think that, but your post is still there for anyone to read.

The facts are the facts.

And quite frankly, I don't believe that you posses a consistent ability to determine truth from fiction in the first place. You could be telling blatant lies all day long and not even know it.

You consistently display the unfortunate symptoms in your posts.

Nothing short of wiping them all from the face of the earth will stop them. Their ignorance and hatred will be perpetrated for centuries to come.
You sound like one of those members of the "raging masses" in Orwell's 1984 as the Great Leader ginned everybody up. Just as a curiousity . . . have you ever actually been hurt by terrorists? Have you ever witnessed terrorism? If not, who has made you so terrified?

Can you prove me otherwise?

What is your question? Your response makes no sense.
