Elizabeth Warren: Fork, Done, etc

According to this genealogist, she didn't lie about her Native American heritage.

Give me a break. Why are you trying to deny that she was dishonest? It's a clear fact. She should own up to this too. If not, it means that she was not only dishonest at some point (a common enough failing among humans) but that she wants to turn dishonesty into truth (far more troubling).

Give us some "credible" proof of her supposed dishonesty?

It has been posted by several others in this thread. She had herself listed as a minority when she wasn't.

1. How do you know that SHE had herself listed as a minority?

2. How do you know that SHE isn't a minority?

So according to you different other persons at different other institutions on their own initiative and without telling her decided out of the blue to list her as a minority? Did they get a message from some archangel? Was it a giant conspiracy? Get real.

As for her not being a minority, she clearly isn't. Use common sense.

No, retard, I prefer facts and proof. Besides, you righties lack common sense.

A Massachusetts genealogist said he uncovered evidence that Warren's great-great-great grandmother had listed herself as Cherokee in an 1894 document. That would make Warren a 1/32nd American Indian.

According to this genealogist, she didn't lie about her Native American heritage.

Sorries.

He's now saying he can't find any documentation for his claim.

You really aren't a great help to your side. But clearly you are too intolerant to be able to deal with the truth.

How do we know she listed herself as a minority? Because she said she did.

Elizabeth Warren Says She Used Native American Heritage to Meet Friends

Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren listed herself as Native American early in her career because she wanted to make friends, according to a published report.

Warren said that she listed herself as a minority in the hopes that she might meet what she described as people like her, The Boston Herald reported.

“I listed myself in the directory in the hopes that it might mean that I would be invited to a luncheon, a group, something that might happen with people who are like I am,” said Warren. “Nothing like that ever happened, that was clearly not the use for it and so I stopped checking it off.”

Fine, can you give us some "credible" proof of that?

I'm getting ready to crash for the night. I had it up the other day. I shall find it for you.

This geneologist traced her great great great grandfather:

But Paul Reed, a Utah genealogist who is a fellow at the American Genealogical Society, said he found primary documentation that shows Warren’s great-great-great grandfather Jonathan Crawford served in a Tennessee militia unit that rounded up Cherokees before they were force-marched to Oklahoma in the infamous “Trail of Tears.”

Here it is. From the Boston Herald.

" Warren’s statements come as genealogists at the New England Historic Genealogical Society were unable to back up earlier accounts that her great great great grandmother is Cherokee.

While Warren’s great great great grandmother, named O.C. Sarah Smith, is listed on a electronic transcript of a 1894 marriage application as Cherokee, the genealogists are unable to find the actual record or a photograhic copy of it, Society spokesman Tom Champoux said.

A copy of the marriage license itself has been located, but unlike the application, it does not list Smith’s ethnicity.

Okay, answer the 2nd question.

You do realize that you're more of a strict racialist than the most diehard Nazi's ever were?

You're a dumb hothead, so what's your point?

You seem to feel that one ancestor many generations ago still makes her a native American. The Nazi's would never have categorized somebody with one Jewish ancestor that far back as a Jew. It would seem the Nazi's were a bit less racially obsessed than you.

Thank you. This does not disprove Warren's claim, because the electronic transcript of the 1894 marriage application does in fact list O.C. Sarah Smith as Cherokee. Many such paper records are gone with the wind.

Chris Childs, a genealogist at the New England Historic Genealogical Society, traced Warren’s Native-American roots to her great-great-great-grandmother, who was listed as Cherokee on an 1894 marriage record.

So far, I've found nothing to indicate that Chris Childs has refuted the original finding.

I'm waiting...

Heading off to never never land. Glad I could provide you with accurate references.

:eusa_angel:

Seriously, the Boston Herald is just dogging this story on her. It's her own local press that is nuking Warren on this issue.
