Eleven States To Jail Feds Who Violate The 2nd Amendment

The interstate commerce clause gives the congress power to control interstate commerce. It does not provide for the congress to control intrastate commerce unless an interstate shipper is involved and then the shipper is under their jurisdiction but not necessarily the product being shipped within the state.
If that is too hard to understand then read the constitution and follow that with the tenth amendment.
The state laws that passed prohibit any action by congress not granted by the constitution under the states rights protected by the tenth amendment.
The state laws do not counteract any federal power granted by the constitution so cannot conflict with any federal laws.

And all of that PaulS is for the various legislatures and courts to figure out.

it's not the interstate commerce clause that keeps states from overruling the feds. it's the supremacy clause.

anyone who thinks the states are going to arrest feds is out of their minds.

This is music to the ears of all patriots. The second and tenth amendments make it very clear the feds have no authority in gun control. IT'S A STATE ISSUE!!

Texas, Florida, South Carolina, Missouri, Indiana, Tennesee, Oklahoma, North Dakota, New Mexico, Arizona and Wyoming have proposed legislation to jail federal officials who violate the second amendment.

The 2nd Amendment Preservation Act is a state-level bill that renders all federal gun laws, regulations, rules, acts, orders, etc – null and void within the borders of the state.

The Firearms Freedom Act declares that any firearms made and retained in-state are beyond the authority of Congress under its constitutional power to regulate commerce among the states. The FFA is primarily a Tenth Amendment challenge to the powers of Congress under the commerce clause, with firearms as the object.

Political hypocrites.....Red states who have tried every trick imaginable to do away with Roe v Wade now up in arms because they're afraid they won't be able to own a rocket launcher.

The association of Utah county sheriffs supposedly sent a copy of a letter, in which they said they would arrest feds who were enforcing laws they did not like, to the local federal DA. S/he told the head of the association he would be the first one into federal custody if any such nonsense was even breathed much less acted on.

Really? Then why did every single House Republican but one vote for the gun free school zones act in 1990? Why did a Republican President sign it into law? Is it because Republicans hate America?

Because it's "feel good" law making, and if they don't vote that way, the mindless, like youself and the media immediately scream.. Rebublicans want guns in schools. By the way, how did the "gun free school zone law" work out for the folks at Sandy Hook? It's all feel good bullshit. How are the control laws working out for the folks in Chicago? They have averaged almost 2 murders a day so far this year.

Connecticut is one of the 18 states that allows guns in schools, so maybe you should get your facts straight before you open your mouth!

You missed the point. If they had made it a "gun free zone" would that have stopped the killings? Duh... NO it is feel good legislation

I was in the army for two years and the national guards for another six. Anybody who thinks Bushmasters or AR-15 semi-automatic rifles with extra capacity magazines should be allowed in the hands of idiots who couldn't wipe their asses using both hands they really need to do some honest soul searching. The second amendment was written by Thomas Jefferson. Later other people with special interests went back to his original writing and re-punctuated the phrasing. The American people are such suckers. Here's what Jefferson himself said about the original constitution...which he himself scribed at the behest of John Adams:

"Laws and institutions must go hand in hand with the progress of the human mind. As that becomes more developed, more enlightened, as new discoveries are made, new truths discovered and manners and opinions change, with the change of circumstances, institutions must advance also to keep pace with the times. We might as well require a man to wear still the coat which fitted him when a boy as civilized society to remain ever under the regimen of their barbarous ancestors."

Not to mention that the original document has already been amended 27 times.

So according to you, making a school zone drug or gun free has never altered human behavior, is that right? You are telling me that no where in this country was there a situation where a person with a gun didn't decide to take another path to avoid getting too close to a school? There are schools in this country next to places where people hunt. In all those years a hunter never found himself getting too close to a school and decided to go in a different direction. There was no student ever influenced by a gun free zone, which made him think twice about bringing a gun to school.

School shootings of very young children are rather rare, because they aren't a target of choice. You gun nuts aren't going to counter gun control by debating Sandy Hook. That violence just reminded the country of all the other violence, so you point isn't what counts. This shit has went on too long in this country and if policy inconveniences some gun nut, I don't care. I don't give a damn what you want. Your arguments for the status quo suck.

That's false. The Supremacy Clause and the 10A give the states the power to declare federal laws unconstitutional. THINK

Exactly. If you want to change the constitution, you must go thru the amending process. You want unelected judges to just change it by "reinterpreting" and that's BS.

And these fruitloops will get the votes of other fruitloops in the next election, then the whole thing will be forgotten, except by those that enforce laws. What goes around comes around.

Hmmm... who said that ?? Or was there a voice in your head?

Find me one documented incident of any of the above... you you know you are reaching... and trying to stretch the point. Most jurisdictions, including mine, schools are drug free zones too..Do you think that deters drugs,, or is it "feel good" BS ?

LOL.. this is typical of the mindless... you are a "gun nut" when pointing out reality.. and because you point out the reality, you are arguing for the staus quo
Let's fight the problems and the cause.. not a tool. The gun is only the tool my friend.

Somebody who knows what he is talking about.

Who is the "anybody" he is talking about. Please find me a post in the thread that make reference to somebody thinking it is fine to put assault rifles in the hands of idiots or nuts. Is is very typical when the mindless get cornered. They make things up, put words in other's mouths, or they must hear voices.

Yes, you are mindless when you "put words in other's [sic] mouths. . .".

There is no reason for such weapons other than "I want", and in our environment that does not wash well.
