Electric car incentives

The Waxman-Markey bill would have created the first ever national building code. It would have required every parking spot to have an electric car charger.
Fortunately few Congressmen were stupid enough vote it.

Can you imagine anyone supporting that idiocy?

It passed the house 219-212 and would have passed the senate if it wasn't for a republican filibuster.

That's more stupid people than I thought.

Thank God for Republicans.

No telling how many $Billions would have been flushed down the toilet before Congress admitted they screwed up.

Question: What Democrat Cities have such a law?

National Building codes.. How stupid...

The thing is, GE manufactures the expensive charging systems and they have several revolving door congressmen from both parties, but mostly Democrats, on their payroll as lobbyists.

They were seeing dollar signs. Just think, if Joe homeowner pulled a building permit to do any home improvement, say for roof repairs, he would have to install a charging station. If he had a two car garage, he would have to install 2 of them etc. etc.

Same thing for businesses. Open a small brick and block business with 10 parking spaces, you would need to install 10 charging stations. Open a supermarket with hundreds, same thing.

We really dodged a bullet.

Tainted Tommy bought him/her/it self a 2-mile long electrical extension cord so he/she/it can drive to the pub. Oh, on a full charge, the Japanese made wunderkar could make it easy but Tommy can never remember to plug it in.

We have a bill that was introduced
Levin bill would put electric car chargers at national parks and forests

Unfortunately, due to the cost and the number of homeless that we still have it's difficult to support it.

What waste ....who is he trying to make a billionaire so he can get his kickback

When taxpayers dtart buying my gad is when taxpayers should shell out for free recharging stations. Can yo imagine what the government would loose in gas taxes
