Election Day antics...It Has Begun...

It does not look like the Dems will take the Senate

The Washington Post has taken back their call that Steele has lost in Md

Lol even foxnews.com still has Dems winning in MD.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/youdecide2006/races.html?MD
MD - U.S. Senate
48% Precincts Reporting
Michael Steele Republican 348,232 (50%)
Ben Cardin Democrat 331,924 (48%)
Kevin Zeese Green 11,242 (2%)

They still have the check next to Cardin's name despite Steele now leading. Thats pretty funny.

Check out the NJ senate race, lol.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/youdecide2006/races.html?NJ
NJ - U.S. Senate
85% Precincts Reporting
Bob Menendez (i) Democrat 1,018,449 (53%)
Thomas Kean, Jr. Republican 855,986 (45%)
Len Flynn Libertarian 11,993 (1%)
Edward Forchion Legalize Marijuana 9,891 (1%)
J.M. Carter Other 6,248 (0%)
Leonard Smith Other 5,310 (0%)
Daryl Brooks Other 4,344 (0%)
Angela Lariscy Socialist Workers Party 3,027 (0%)
Gregory Pason Socialist 2,144 (0%)

The "Legalize Marijuana party"? Thats pretty interesting. I also think its funny that there were 5100 votes for Socialists in NJ.

Of the 10 races for the House in VA, 8 Reps won and 2 Dems won. Senator Allen leads in the senate race with 98% in now by 7000 still.

Do you mean state reps? Cause the Federal elections are going Republicans way there.

When I say Republican party as a whole, I mean as a whole across the nation. Virginia was only included in my statement because that is where voters banned gay marriage. So while republican voters turned down gay marriage, their party got raped.

So much for Fox News being biased toward Republicans

Most of the projections are based formulas that rely heavily on exit polling. That is why some states are called with 0-5% percent reporting and that is also why they do not feel that Steele's lead will hold.

Which is further evidence that they should wait till around 90% of the vote is in before giving a verdict. Otherwise its just wishful thinking.

They forgot about the 200,000 absentee ballots that still need to be counted

Dems will have to run the table to take the Senate. It is unlikly they can pull it off

Virginia is not over. Allen has been gaining 4,000+ votes in every 1% of precincts that have been reporting lately. If he does that in the final 1%...he has a lead.

Also: they said there will be a recount if the margin of victory is within 10,000 votes.

You do know that Webb is the D, Right?

HOLY SHIT...that whole time I assumed Allen had the lead and didn't notice the switch. That is why my post comes across strange.

I see what you mean now Insein.
