New polls indicate that concern for environmental issues has risen ahead of the 2016 presidential election. Americans are taking global warming more seriously now than at any period in the last eight years, according to Gallup’s annual environment survey. Sixty-four percent of Americans said that they are either worried a “great deal” or “fair amount” about global warming. At this time in 2015, only 55 percent of Americans said they felt this way. Findings from Gallup also reveal that 63 percent of Americans said the weather in their local area was warmer than usual this winter. When they were asked what they attributed these temperatures to, more Americans ascribed the shift to climate change than normal variation. Gallup’s report noted that “a larger, more regionally and politically diverse group of Americans is reporting warmer temperatures this year.

The divergent positions taken by Democratic and Republican candidates during the 2016 race reflect a stark contrast in the way the two parties approach these issues, as well as how they would respond to Americans’ environmental concerns. Democratic candidates former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders have made climate change a key part of their presidential campaigns. Clinton wooed Democratic lawmakers last April with progressive stances on executive and regulatory actions for environmental causes. On the campaign trail, Sanders has repeatedly advocated for climate change awareness, vowing that he “will not reject science.

Gallup’s annual environmental survey also found that levels of worry on six key environmental issues also increased from last year. Among these issues, more Americans were concerned “a great deal” about the extinction of plant and animal species, air pollution and the loss of tropical rain forests. Notably, 61 percent of Americans were worried “a great deal” about polluted drinking water.

 • ON – 2 fires (45,000+ ha) – emergency area order in place
 • Now this is the present situation in Canada. However, given what we saw last year, if we once again get low precipitation and high temperatures on the West Coast, then we may see the same here by July. That might just make a differance in people's attitude in this election, at least on the West Coast. Should that happen on the East Coast, gonna be much whining and bitching, and it will make a national differance.
what does this have to do with climate for the umpteenth hundred time? LOL you're a tool bubba.

63-30. Denier political cultists are getting slaughtered on this issue.

Nope, it's not the top issue. But it will be enough to decide some close races. It might be what tips the senate Democratic. Thanks, skook! We're counting on you to help us win!

The operative word from progressives on display in red above........vague terms that look impressive!! Until they are compared to something else!! Then its time to laugh..........

']Keira Knigtly can have somebody write that her boob size has "increased".........and the zombies would be impressed. Until she is standing next to Kim Kardasian!!:2up::boobies::boobies::boobies::boobies:. Only the low information asshole is swayed by progressive fraud.:coffee:

Progressives always, always present misleading information on their posts....one regular member in here, for example, always posts up about how "solar power has grown by 136% from last year" Sounds impressive, right? Until you put it on a graph next to fossil fuels where it is this tiny, tiny little sliver on the energy graph. Sad? you bet.........but never stops a progressive from being a frauAs the overall Pew and Gallup polls displayed in vivid fashion, global warming is ON THE BOTTOM of the list when compared to over 15 other issues ( in one poll, 21st out of 22 ) that are presented as voter concerns..............BY FAR. Its right there on the displayed polls earlier in this thread if anyone wants to take a gander and check it out!!

And think about it.....its common sense. When people have real responsibilities in their lives, whats going to be a real worry? A computer guessing if the temperature might go up 1 degree over 25 years OR whether you're going to be able to feed your family this year and next??
Lets face it..........when compared ( theres that word again:biggrin:) to so many other things on peoples minds, global warming will always be dead last or near dead last. Any half-wit can figure that out!! . But we have a % of the people in this country who are emotional hemophiliacs and get hysterical about any blip in the weather!!! ( just like we have mental cases walking around every day changing their sex ).

We can all at least be thankful these people permanently live on the other fringes of the political spectrum and have very little political influence........as can be seen by looking at our energy policies for decades = no influence. ZERO.........renewable energy still laughable in America while fossil fuels ripping new asses!!!:woohoo:
