Eight Of The Nastiest And Dirty Jobs In The Military

by Allison Churchill @ The Dirtiest Jobs In The Military - Business Insider
The Military Channel does a pretty good job of giving insight into aspects of the military most people will never experience. Elite schools, intricate equipment, and historical events all get a chance in the spotlight.

Some pretty “raw” stuff :)

Not just a job, it's an adventure!

The worst job I had in the Military was in the P.I. We had set up camp in Crow Valley for two weeks and we had to use makeshift toilets, basically a sheet of plywood with a hole in it set over a metal bucket. 5 or 6 in a row so you might have someone to talk to while you do yer bidness.

Anyway for some reason they don't empty themselves so we got "voluntold" to empty the honey pots which consisted of digging a hole, pouring the contents in then burning it with Diesel fuel. Yes, you burn sh*t in the Military.

Shaft alley/bilge cleaning
Stripping asbestos off bulkheads
Mess cranking
Chipping/painting (no hearing protection)
Shore Patrol in Portsmouth, Va. in the pouring rain!!!
Sea/anchor detail (HOURS UPON HOURS)
Flight Quarters - Repair 7 phonetalker.

Christ - need more??

How come no one mentioned the worst job, starts about four in the morning and ends about midnight? KP
