GAZA, (PIC)-- A delegation of the Egyptian parliament arrived in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday evening via the Rafah border crossing in the first such visit by members of Egypt’s post revolution parliament.

Palestinian officials and members of the legislative council received the Egyptian delegates led by Dr. Mohammed Idris, the head of the Arab affairs committee.

Idris express pleasure at visiting Gaza in an arrival statement, adding that he would discuss with Gaza officials and MPs the fuel and power crisis in the enclave.

He vowed to seek solutions to break the siege on the Strip and to alleviate the suffering of its inhabitants.
