Egypt/Tunisia: Radical Islamist Dreams Come True...

Nazis? The Muslim Brotherhood? Iranian theocracy?

What will it take for people to open their eyes?
(3b) And communist too!!!

I take it, then, that you both withdraw your statement about the Shah being the terrible and brutal dictator, and, now understand that to apply to the current rulers...

and that you were unable to find any errors in my conspectus.

And, based on same, I would expect an intelligent person such as you to change your view.

2. Egypt is governed by a moderate autocrat...moderate when one compares Mubarak to some other dictators and tyrants.
So the Egyptian people should give Mubarak a pass because he isn't as bad as some other dictators?

In other words; our Founding Fathers were wrong in starting the American Revolution because King George wasn't nearly as bad as many other monarchs. :doubt:

Simply put, all concerned parties should avoid any connection with the Muslim Brotherhood like the plague that they are.

People should be very careful buying into the International Press "Freedom & Democracy" hype over Egypt & Tunisia. The radicals are already beginning to seize control of Tunisia. This is also likely to happen in Egypt as well. As usual, the International Press has it wrong. These uprisings may have been about "Freedom & Democracy" in the beginning but it is the radical Islamists who are going to benefit most in the end. So be very careful what you wish for people. What replaces Mubarak could end up being much worse for both Egypt and the World.

Agreed.

It could definitely get worse for US interests.

Perhaps not surpringly the Egyptians on the streets don't much care how their jettison of MuBarak and his gang of theives effects the USA.

If you were Egyptian would YOU care?

If the new government that takes Mubaraks place is more corrupt and more repressive than Mubarak than it will effect the Egyptians, alot of Iranians consider the Mullahs to be alot worse than the Shah.

The Muslim Brotherhood (Ikhwan) is a grass roots organization that has provided many humanitarian and social services for the people and is very popular with many Egyptian citizens.

Mussolini made the trains run on time....

One would hope that at this stage of experience folks might look beyond street sweeping and handing out medical supplies when one hands over a nation.

From what I hear the Ku Klux Klan has free breakfast buffets and prayer vigels, maybe they should take over the government here.

The man in the video Walid Shoebat is a traitor sell out to his people.

And now makes big money selling his books and giving speeches to the gullible and naive Westerners about the danger of Islam and muslims.

In the light of the murder of Theo Van Gogh, Shoebat is a pretty brave guy, huh?

Too bad more 'moderate' Muslims aren't.

How come Islamic radicals who preach death to non-believers are not considered sell outs? the LRA in Uganda are technicaly Christians but I consider them sell outs.

Why would they when the moderate ones such as converted Sunni Man call them traitors and who would stand by without voice should they be murdered.

Moderates just stand by reproducing ones that many not stand by.

There's the difference?

To be moderate is to be a sell out to their people?

On the other hand, I see that the fatwa didn't faze the author of 'The Satanic Verses,' Salman Rushdie...I see his new book is "Buddha, You Fat Bastard."

He's moved from Islam to Buddism ...

Sounds like he's made a decision to stay far away from writing about Islam. Not fazed? Don't be so certain.

Once the International Press hype-machine winds down, people will begin to see what's really going on in these countries. Quietly,Tunisia is now in the process of being seized by radical Islamists. Many who were exiled are now returning to Tunisia. "Freedom & Democracy?" Don't count on it. Egypt,Yemen, and Jordan could be next. This really is a dream come true time for the radicals. Stay tuned.
