ElBaradei: Egypt is 'disintegrating' as tourism drops
05/22/2011 - Egypt is disintegrating socially and its economy “is bust,” said Mohamed ElBaradei, the former director of the International Atomic Energy Agency and possible candidate for the Egyptian presidency.

“Right now, socially, we are disintegrating,” ElBaradei said on CNN’s “Fareed Zakaria GPS,” scheduled to air Sunday. “Economically we are not in the best state. Politically it’s -- it’s like a black hole. We do not know where we are heading.” ElBaradei said many Egyptians don’t feel secure as the country struggles to create a new government after former president Hosni Mubarak was forced from power by protests earlier this year.

“People do not feel secure,” ElBaradei said. “They are buying guns” to protect themselves, he said. ElBaradei said he wasn’t sure when a presidential race could begin because there aren’t any laws that outline “how to run a campaign, how you raise funds” or when candidates can become official.

“What kind of state or regime we are going to have?” ElBaradei asked. “Is it a presidential system? Is it a parliamentary system? When are we going to have a new constitution?” He also expressed concern about the influence of the Islamic group the Muslim Brotherhood, which has had longer to organize than other nascent political contenders. ElBaradei said the election may slip to next year given the uncertainty.

Egyptian Muslims Torch Eight Christian Homes on Church Building Rumour

June 26th, 2011

A mob of nearly 200 Egyptian Muslims torched eight Christian homes on Saturday morning in the Upper Egyptian village of Awlad Khalaf. The attack was initiated by a rumour that a house which is being built by Wahib Halim Attia will be turned into a church. Two Christians and one Muslim were injured, no fatalities were reported.

Wahib Halim Attia obtained a license to build a house in the village on a 95 square meter plot. The house grew to an area of 350 square meters but was still on agricultural land that he owns. This gave rise to the rumor that he intended to build a church instead.

Father Weesa Azmy, the priest at St. George Church in the neighboring village of Negou Madam East, said that someone went to the City Council in Dar es Salam and told them about the irregularities in the house construction, and Wahib was ordered to remove the excess by June 24. “Instead Wahib carried on with the construction, which angered the Egyptian Muslims, who decided to play God and take the law into their own hands; they attacked the construction site and other Christian homes.”

According to Father Weesa, Egyptian Muslims broke into the home of Ihab Tamer, who defended himself with a rifle. A Muslim who was there to help Ihab was injured by a bullet in his leg from Tamer’s rifle. The matter was explained and resolved with the family of that Muslim.

According to eyewitnesses the Egyptian Muslims, mostly Salafists and some youngsters, looted and torched eight homes belonging to Wahib Halim Attia and his two brothers, his three cousins and two other Copts, including Ihab Tamer.

The police arrived three hours after the looting and torching had ended.

Father Weesa said Ihab Tamer, who was in hiding after the shooting incident, contacted him and he advised him to give himself up to the police as he was acting in self-defense. “If someone sees people breaking into his home, surely he has to defend his family and himself.”

The religion of Islam DEMANDS that the World be Islamic. There are two basic philosophy's about this in the Muslim religion. One holds that this will be accomplished by birth rate and semi peaceful expansion. Immigration into non Islamic Countries with the intent to take over when they have the population, peacefully or by force.

The second one holds that war is needed to hasten the day when all the Earth will be Muslim. They advocate jihad and war to accomplish this goal. No waiting for populations to shift. Take what they want and force conversion on captured populaces.

One must remember that according to Islam once a Muslim you can never quit or convert, NO MATTER what brought you to Islam. Anyone that converts or quits from Islam is subject to death.

How is that about principle? I mean, if muslims ruled the world, what would they have to gain aside form piety? Answer: RESOURCES!

Islam teaches that all must be run by Islam. No secular Governments no none religious Governments. The teachings of Islam forbid many of the west's financial creations. Islam would control the resources not secular men.

Which is my whole point. It's not about principle.

Regardless of what Islam's ultimate goals are, the abduction of girls (Christian or otherwise) into slavery has nothing to do with Islam and everything to do with market forces.

Might be true or might not be true. They could have easily be targeted because they're Christians, however, I would think most sex slave traders care less about the religion of the victim and more about the sex, age and physical attractiveness!
