and the difference between edwards backers and bush/cheney backers would be what exactly? Its all big business for the most part. face it, our political system has been taken over by big business and its benefactors.

Not sure you can put Edwards in the camp of big corporations. But you can put him in the camp of an even worse group..... trial lawyers. Everything everybody says about big corps might be true - but they employ thousands. how many people do TRIAL LAWYERS employ?
