Education simplified: Republican freedom versus liberal status quo

Our kids are about the dumbest in the civilized world. The treasonous liberals and their unions want the status quo while Republicans want freedom and vouchers. What more is there to say?

Republicans also want corporate-sponsored schools which will turn kids into even dumber sheep consumers for those same corporations WHILE making sure that an education is only attainable if you have money. I guess you've got to determine what is worse...
You really need to provide a credible link for this asinine claim.

actually they are already about the dumbest in the civilized world so an argument for the status quo is very liberal and very stupid

many of them, don't give a crap about learning the fundamentals

yes this represents a failure of the liberal teachers. As in private business failure should mean death, not an opportunity to make excuses.

It is amazing what capitalism encourages people to do, and what liberal socialism discourages them from doing. Why did you think Red China switched to capitalism??

You're forgetting the unions, remember the teachers unions and communism and socialism and they don't eat their veggies.
China is switching to a mixture, as most nations have done, to a mixture of regulated capitalism and socialism. Few, if any, nations practice pure or laissez faire capitalism or pure socialism. There was a tribe, the Mbuti in Africa that almost practiced pure socialism at one time but I don't know that they still do. Do you know of any nations that practice pure capitalism or pure socialism and not a mixture? There might be some?

This ain't a private business. It is reality teachers (liberal and conservative) deal with on a daily basis.

If you have the answers I'm sure your theory would be welcome and if they work, you'll be a millionaire almost instantly.

The reason you aren't a millionaire over this is no one has the answer. To blame lack of student motivation on liberal teachers is about the most ignorant post I've read on this or any other public forum.

actually dear the answers come with capitalist experimentation. Now you know an essential difference between capitalism and socialism. Socialism doesn't produce innovation because a government monopoly does not experiment.

Welcome to kindergarten

Those aren't corporate-sponsored schools. Fail.

Have you noticed that it's only people with no class fighting the class war?

I find it amusing that people who notoriously hate education and educators also happen to pose on this board as experts in education.

hate education? do you have an example or are you just being liberal, i.e., very very stupid??

Republicans also want corporate-sponsored schools .

corporations got us from the stone age to here in 200 years. Government held back the process for 5 million years. It stands to reason that liberals would like government. They seem to have no brains whatsoever. What other conclusion is possible?

That shows how out of the loop you are. The last 20 years have been nothing but experimentation. Go to any bookstore and look at the books about learning. They are a dime a dozen.

School systems are so desperate for results, they jump on any new bandwagon that comes along. Education today is working their way out of the 'group work' fad and now in the depths of 'reflecting' on everything.

If you were involved you would have known this and lived through some of these insane experimental phases.

Case closed...

Wow, this certainly stands among one of the most stupid things I ever read on this site. And Daveman agrees. With you.

With the last three sentences.

of course if it was stupid the liberal would not be so afraid to present a reason to think it was stupid. A liberal will lack the IQ to need a reason.

I wholeheartedly agree. Young people of today are not having the value of an education instilled in them. Undoubtedly, the government needs to have more standards and incentives for having well-educated college graduates. I propose lowering the Department of Education to the state-level and imposing regular evaluations on the competence of our teachers (both of which are included in Mitt Romney's educational reform plans if elected for Presidency).

The lowering of the Department to state-level makes the monitoring and improvement of our students and teachers much more efficient, due to the ability to impose effective changes on a state-by-state basis according to the needs of the state's students. Likewise, it makes it easier to evaluate teachers regularly and assure they are meeting certain standards set by the state. Not only does this assure the presence of effective teaching procedures, but it likewise gives the teachers to teach well.
