Well he has expressed no intention to lower middle class taxes and has expressed intentions to decrease corperate taxes AND he has expressed intentions to eliminate the debt. The only way left is to maintain or increase the taxes on the middle class to allow for the tax breaks for the rich.

However, according to the 16th ammendment of our constitution, the government IS allowed to steal from the people in payment for services. Obama does not plan to steal from the middle class, he will cut back taxes. The investors are going overseas, the trickle-down-effect failed, Bush has proved that. We need to take away the inscentives to invest overseas.

I've only been saying that since it began ... in the 90s. I don't think Bush was President then, btw. However, I do not believe taxes will be cut back on the middle class. That's a pipe dream.

We raised taxes in the 90's and had the longest continuous period of growth in capital spending and investment in our history plus a record creation in jobs. Your job does not depend on the wealthy getting tax breaks but instead you doing your job and creating something worthy for the wealthy to sell. Wealth is created through the ownership of productivity. The wealthy own productivity. Be productive and you don't need to worry about your job...

How about we force them to pass legislation one for one instead of being allowed to hide pork in it? How about we see just what kind of perks and excessive pay we can trim off our elected officials?

Ah, AllieBaba, I was wondering when you would find your way into my thread. Like your many other arguements I have shot down this contains no facts. Unfortunately, you can not prove Obama is lying to everyone, we may very well see him putting his promises into action if he does get elected. People are smarter than you think they are, some people can think for themselves and choose to give their hard earned dollar to somebody who they support. He gave those people something McCain give big business, hope.
