Economy Grows at 5.6 Percent Pace in Q4, Less Than Thought- AP

The burst of energy the economy showed at the end of last year isn't likely to be repeated anytime soon. The Commerce Department says the economy grew at a 5.6 percent pace in the October-to-December quarter in its third and final estimate of economic activity for the period.

In other words the Government Spending to boost the GDP numbers did not have as great a result as they had initially lied about. Fact remains that without that "burst" of spending, the GDP numbers would have been negative reflecting the malaise in the real economy out there. It is really really ugly.
