Vaccines for the dreaded Ebola Virus are now in the testing stages. The Virus is said to have claimed more than 22,000 lives and is being called the worst the medical community has seen. West Africa's Sierra Leone logged the highest number of Ebola cases and deaths. Originally discovered in the Congo, there was little known about the disease which was primarily an ailment of primates.

Early symptoms of the devastating disease include high fever, vomiting dehydration and rash. Final stages may impede liver functions.

There is some concern that the Ebola Virus has mutated and become harder to detect and treat. A number of patients have exhibited no symptoms when infected with the virus which can mask warning signs. Other mutations involve different strains of the virus which may lower the effects of vaccines....
