East coast frozen solid!

Snow is good, a major component of the ski bunny super highway i do biz on

However, a thaw is predicted to take it all away, as well as create flood watches

Well, yesterday it was cold, and the temps only got into the mid 40's. We had snow overnight, but it was all gone by yesterday afternoon.

Today? It's upper 50's/lower 60's, and tomorrow it's gonna be 74. And this is in the middle of January. Currently located in Amarillo TX. Last couple of winters, there were several times that we had snow that lasted several days. This year? One time so far has lasted only 2 or 3 days.

Not in the panhandle where Amarillo is located. The average temps during this time of year are mid 40's to lower 50's. 74 degrees is record setting temp. area.

You might want to look at a map sometime. Texas is a huge state. And, while 60's and 70's might be normal for this time of year in Corpus Christie (the very south), temps in Amarillo (at the very northern part of the state), usually are in the 40's and 50's.
