E-Postcard to Voice Your Opposition to Obamacare

What DEEDS?

What of note has Obama Ever Accomplished?

He spent his prior stints at elected office campaigning for his next gig.

He is the biggest NothingBurger who has ever served in the White House.

And his deeds since taking office are Hardly Exemplary.

As a legislator, he stood with the forces of progress against regressives. Those are deeds which thoughtful and reasonable Americans respect.

Any minute now, I expect you to tell us he voted against the Iraq war.

Progress. Isn't that a matter of perspective?

Uh....how did you know he would offer you relief and deliverance if he didn't promise you anything?

A man is best judged by his deeds. Deeds are greater than promises.

Hey dipshit, he had never done anything but deceive a bunch of naive dimwits and special interest assholes like George Soros. Why did you really vote for him? We all knew he was a joke when he spent 730 million dollars of Soros's money to buy the Presidency, now Soros is making BILLIONS off of the suffering of everyone in this country, you have helped support a multi billionaire that produces nothing you fuck! What an ass you and all of the lemmings are that will follow that fraud over a cliff.

Hey dumbass, Obama was better than the alternative and gave us the hope of better government.

Hey dumbass, Obama was better than the alternative and gave us the hope of better government.

Some of us would like the reality of better government. We've moved on from 'hope' to 'demand'.

Why would any American want help the Republicans deny health care to other Americans?

Once we were a country of neighbors and comrades. We committed ourselves to building a country together, to rebuilding our country after economic disaster together, to defeating tyranny together, to building a better world for ourselves and for our children together.

Now the Republicans are trying to divide us. To sew the seeds of hatred. To set some Americans against other Americans.

Why do you want to help them do that?

There's that tired, deceptive argument again. Nobody is trying to deny health care to anyone. This is simply an appeal to emotion by strawman. Sensible people want the health care system to be reformed to control its cost. There is no reason to...and good reason to NOT...let the government control, disperse and charge for health care. Congress could easily reduce the cost of health care with tort reform...loser pays...limits on punitive damages...insurance sales across state lines...grants to free clinics to take the burden of free medical services off of the major hospital ERs...more to come.

The Marxist Obama is driving the opposite direction from above because the above would expand the control of health care by the populace and he wants the control expanded to the government. He will create 53 bureaucracies, mandates on citizens, mandates on employers, broadcasting of personal financial information, control of health care and finances of every entity in the United States by the IRS...what more does he need to completely control your life?

Stop using that silly argument about the opponents to Obama's plan trying to deny health care. We need health-care-cost-driving laws reformed.

There's that tired old distortion opponents of health care drag-out when someone mentions their opposition. They say no one's trying to deny anyone health care but that only proves they've never listened to hate radio. I, personally, have heard numerous callers to hate-mongers late Hannity, Beck and my local guys say they don't want to pay for anyone else's health care.

And how could for-profit, market-driven, free-enterprise health care, the ideal of health care deniers, make any money if it actually provided health care to everyone include poor persons. Nobody ever got rich giving-away things he could sell.

Don't believe them. They have to deny health care to some so others can make money, so they can maintain their ideological purity and, I daresay, so they can feed their hatred of persons who aren't like them.

I don't want the government telling me that I must buy health insurance.

Progress. Isn't that a matter of perspective?

I suppose it is.

Let's say, then, that Obama stood with the forces of what most Americans would call progress. America, on the issues, is a center-left nation. We believe in government solutions to common problems. Obama is one of us.

I'd agree that America was a center left nation in late 2008. But I suspect it will lurch toward center right in either 2012 or 2016. And then it will lurch back again. It always has.

Very rare for one party to have the POTUS for 3 consecutive terms. And with the destructive nature of the modern media, I would argue that 3 term parties are going to become even rarer.

Looky here! You have stated the liberal understanding of health care. Rationing will be employed to cut costs. The government will control who gets what. The pharmaceutical industry will get rich. The unions will get rich. The government will control our lives and tax us to death. The ruling elite shall not suffer pain or sickness...the government employees shall not suffer pain or sickness...those that "know" somebody in government shall not suffer pain or sickness...the rest are subject to rationing at the whim of the bureaucratic AHJ after waiting in line for a decision from above.

That is the collectivist ideal.

You stupid liberals actually think it's going to be a good thing for America. Study some history. Study the medical care systems in countries that have already tried this shit.

Liberalism is a mental disorder!

...quite true. Is this regard, your boy Obama hasn't accomplished a worthy deed other than maintaining his family. He is a royal FAILURE as President, a bumbling fool on foreign turf, an appeasing imbecile regarding terrorists and a narcissist. Other than that, he might be okay.

You judgment is wrong. We selected Obama as a leader and value his ability to set priorities and inspire us to achieve them.

As a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Obama made official trips to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In August 2005, he traveled to Russia, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan. The trip focused on strategies to control the world's supply of conventional weapons, biological weapons, and weapons of mass destruction as a first defense against potential terrorist attacks.<61>

Following meetings with U.S. military in Kuwait and Iraq in January 2006, Obama visited Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian territories.

He left for his third official trip in August 2006, traveling to South Africa, Kenya, Djibouti, Ethiopia and Chad. In a nationally televised speech at the University of Nairobi, he spoke forcefully on the influence of ethnic rivalries and corruption in Kenya.

Obama worked with Russ Feingold (D–WI) to eliminate gifts of travel on corporate jets by lobbyists to members of Congress and require disclosure of bundled campaign contributions under the "Honest Leadership and Open Government Act", which was signed into law in September 2007.

He joined Chuck Schumer (D-NY) in sponsoring S. 453, a bill to criminalize deceptive practices in federal elections, including fraudulent flyers and automated phone calls, as witnessed in the 2006 midterm elections.

Obama also introduced the "Iraq War De-Escalation Act", a bill to cap troop levels in Iraq, begin phased redeployment, and remove all combat brigades from Iraq before April 2008.<68>

Later in 2007, Obama sponsored with Kit Bond (R-MO) an amendment to the 2008 Defense Authorization Act adding safeguards for personality disorder military discharges, and calling for a review by the Government Accountability Office following reports that the procedure had been used inappropriately to reduce government costs.

joined Chuck Hagel (R-NE) in introducing legislation to reduce risks of nuclear terrorism.A provision from the Obama-Hagel bill was passed by Congress in December 2007 as an amendment to the State-Foreign Operations appropriations bill.

Obama also sponsored a Senate amendment to the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) to provide one year of job protection for family members caring for soldiers with combat-related injuries. After passing both houses of Congress with bipartisan majorities, SCHIP was vetoed by President Bush in early October 2007, a move Obama said "shows a callousness of priorities that is offensive to the ideals we hold as Americans."

Setting-aside politics, I don't see any fundamental change in American attitudes toward the issues. We will remain center-left and perhaps become moreso. The problems we face can't be solved by conservative policies although we can be deceived by conservative politicians.

Just look how MA and TN are dealing with their "universal healthcare".

Thats whats in store for the rest of the country if the Clowns in DC pass this bs bill.

The Reps have no power to stop this. Doesn't matter what they say or do. They are powerless in this whole thing.

The Dems seem bound and determined to add another huge entltlement that the taxpayer will be paying for. Another huge beurocracy full of red tape and mountains of paperwork.

The Dems know quite well that the majority of taxpayers are for reform. Just no this clusterfuck of a bill.

This thing should be scraped and they should start over and focus on reduceing cost. Jeeze. They really are CLOWNS in DC.
