CBO: Health bills to increase federal costs - CQ Politics- msnbc.com
The health care overhauls released to date would increase, not reduce, the burgeoning long-term health costs facing the government, Congressional Budget Office Director Douglas Elmendorf said Thursday.

That is not a message likely to sit well with congressional Democrats or the Obama administration, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Thursday she thinks lawmakers can find ways to wring more costs out of the health system as they continue work on their bills.


Hmm....now this is shocking huh? The government would cover the health care for the uninsured both Americans and non-Americans, yet people are shocked that this proposal would stack the national debt even higher in the future.

Hmm....now this is shocking huh? The government would cover the health care for the uninsured both Americans and non-Americans, yet people are shocked that this proposal would stack the national debt even higher in the future.

I wouldn't say they're shocked. It's more of a plug your ears, close your eyes and start singing la, la, la.

This has yet to be refuted as far as a I can tell by anyone here. The only rebuttal the dems are giving is that they aren't be given credit for cost savings from preventative care. If people think there will be more preventative care under Obama's plan THEN they will be in for a shock.
