Prominent opposing religious druze chiefs were assassinated by Ass*ad services in Suwaidah.

The assassinated druze chiefs called druze youths to not join the Ass*ad army last months.

Armed druzes reacted by destroying Ass*ad statues and attacking local police station in the city.

Sadly that is a fact of life in the area. Many were assassinated by syrian when they controlled Lebanon. Now Hezbullah is still carrying out the pattern since the syrians left.

What is a Druze? Is that a sect of Islam?
They have their holy site in Sweida and defend it it within the National Defense Forces against the terrorists of Nusra/FSA and ISIS. The whole story is a fake, the Druze have probably been killed by the terrorists that now blame it on the Syrian government. That has been a successful way for the terrorists to create worldwide propaganda against Syria, as you can see.

PS: Don´t believe the aris2shit crap, its nonsense. The area is mostly defended by locals within the army and NDF, whereas the terrorists have been recruited from many countries, whether they claim to be "more secular" than the other terrorists or not.

Leadership of al-Muwahhidin Muslims: Terrorist attacks in Sweida aim at igniting sedition

"Sweida, SANA -The spiritual leadership of the sect of al-Muwahhidin Muslims in the country denounced the twin terrorist car bombings that targeted Sweida city.

The leadership said in a statement on Saturday that these terrorist attacks were committed by “the gangs of terror and Takfiri thinking” and aimed at disrupting “our national fabric and igniting sedition.”

Those gangs, the statement said, are bothered by the unity binding the locals of Sweida province and the army members.

It hailed the “calm” and “wise” way in which the situation was handled in Sweida city after the terrorist explosions, and which “has foiled the attempts of the plotters and perpetrators to drag our youth into sedition.”

Sweida police chief: Situation in the city stable

Police Chief in Sweida Maj. Gen. Mohammad Samra said the situation in Sweida city on Saturday is calm and stable, after yesterday’s twin car bomb attacks.

Terrorists blew up on Friday two car bombs almost simultaneously in two different areas in Sweida city, leaving 26 people dead and dozens of others injured.

In a statement to SANA, Samra denied reports circulated by some media outlets about targeting security personnel in Sweida city, stressing that those reports are “tendentious and baseless.”

He dismissed these reports as being part of the falsification campaign targeting the province for a while to disrupt security and stability there and shake the resilience of its locals."

Why the regime assassinated this opposing chief?

Assad has a habit of killing those opposed to their authority. They did the same thing in Lebanon, and still doing through Hezbullah.

Be sure that 90% of terrorists attacks in Lebanon and Syria were planned by Ass*ad services!

Alawite sect are known to be killers through history.

Syrians also massacred palestinians in the camps with help of the amal. Thousands in each of two massacres a year apart.
Syria has killed more palestinians that Israel, jordan, and egypt combined.

Prominent Syrian General Attends the Funeral of the Murdered Anti-War Sheikh in Al-Sweida

"The late Sheikh Wahid Al-Balous of Al-Sweida City was constantly referenced by Syrian Opposition activists as the “voice” for the Syrian Druze of the Al-Sweida Governorate, while never displaying any sympathetic rhetoric for the Islamist militants combatting the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).

Most of the time, the late Sheikh’s rhetoric was distorted by Syrian Opposition activists to propagate dissent amongst the people of the Al-Sweida Governorate; however, if they were to interview Sheikh Balous’ supporters, they would recant their fabrications about an “armed uprising” against the Syrian Armed Forces inside the province.

Much to the surprise of the Syrian Opposition, the prominent Syrian Arab Army officer, Major General Issam Zahreddine, was in attendance for the funeral of Sheikh Wahid Al-Balous, as he and his eldest son – Yarob – paid tribute to the murdered religious figure.

What does this mean?

Major General Issam Zahreddine is beloved in Al-Sweida and considered a hero to the people; his gallantry on the battlefield has garnered him many loyal supporters, including the three Sheikh Al-Aqls (Durzi religious leaders).

Meanwhile, to the Syrian Opposition, Major General Issam Zahreddine is a “brute” that was labeled the “Durzi beast” for his alleged “crimes” against the Syrian protesters – no evidence of misconduct was ever presented.

Sheikh Balous was outspoken about the conscription of Durzi men into the Syrian Arab Army; but, it had little to do with being unpatriotic and more to do with the fact that Al-Sweida was relatively unprotected.

With ISIS and Al-Qaeda operating inside Al-Sweida’s northern countryside, the fear of genocide left many Durzi civilians concerned over the future of their community and land.

Sheikh Balous never denounced the Syrian Arab Army, nor did he state his support of the Islamist militants; in fact, many of his pictures were taken with the flag of the Syrian Arab Republic.

When the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” and their allies from the Free Syrian Army’s “Southern Front Brigades” attacked the Tha’lah Military Airport in west Al-Sweida; it was Sheikh Balous that was pictured with an assault rifle in preparation for an imminent attack on the Durzi populous of Al-Sweida."

Wahid Baalous: "The regime has decided to kill me".

He has right.
