DREAM Act dies on Senate Floor, 55-41

Why don't they just REFORM the citizenship process we already have? Make it to where it doesn't take TEN YEARS for a person to get naturalized?

As it is, bills such as this are a slap in the face to those who obeyed the laws, applied, and waited the friggin TEN YEARS to get their citizenship!

FIX THE PORCH STEPS, DON'T ADD ANOTHER DOOR!

Finally a vote for American citizens. Politicians starting to get the message if they don't vote in the interest of its citizens their political career will be a short one. Now lets work on a dream act for Americans, and immigration lock down, no more hand outs, no more looking the other way. The time has come to put pressure on our government, local, state, and Federal to deal with immigration. Lest hope this is the beginning of the end.

Its a smoke screen. He continues to act like a unpredictable dumb ass we wont see the sabotage he's doing to our troops in the middle east. Don't look for Obamaladin to be consistent at anything but being consistently inconsistent.

In a statement, President Obama called it “an incredibly disappointing vote.”
The Obama administration had pushed hard for the law – mainly as an education bill that would eventually bring economic benefits to the country.

What? They haven't brougt economic benefits and they are 20 million strong. Help American children through school and let them bring the benefits.

But.... You don't understand. Those might not vote Dem!

It had to fail - nothing else was acceptable. Too many perks given on the bill to people who ONLY deserve to be deported. If these perks had not been included in the bill, it might have had a chance of passing for the sake of the students. Reid and his hoodlums deserve this.

Had they had the courage to write a bill that punished those who actually broke the law (the parents) and assisted the kids who are innocent... I might have been inclined to support it... if it wasn't another massive burden on an already overburdened taxpayer.

However, Obama always knew this wouldn't pass... it was just a way of keeping the Hispanics who helped elect him quiet. He promised them the bill and he gave it to them. Now he can claim that he kept his promise to them. And they will be stupid enough to fall for it.

Will this lessen the number of Mexicans invading our border? Nope. But at least it wont increase it.
