This week, Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley signed a bill to require the state's public universities to give undocumented aliens -- generally illegal -- in-state tuition privileges.

Compared to Asians, the study found, Hispanics receive a 240-point advantage.

you know, I just re read a history of the SAT and the machinations of its creation ( a good thing) and the progressives building it up, then to just tear it down again ( a very bad thing) becasue it didn't give them what they want....so they will keep trying, no matter what.


so, question; UC Berkeley charges 22K for a year for in state tuition, who pays for that for a minority student btw? and how does that square with their vigorous attempts at drawing more out of staters whom pay over 34K?

How do the slots get allocated? so, does that mean someone with a lesser score who cannot afford the school to start with will get financial aid for it all and take a slot from ones who can pay and has better grades and/or sats and/or an out of stater sitting at home whom could have paid the bigger cost, very important, especially now becasue the UC is getting hammered ala allocations form the state shrinking? etc.?

Ignorant and uneducated? They are given a free public education from K-12. Since when was a college education a guaranteed right? There are plenty of American students who can't afford college or can't get in because of the very same low SAT scores as the Hispanic illegals.

There are solutions. How about enforcing the laws we already have instead of making up new ones which prohibit enforcement?

BTW - In most colleges, qualified illegals are admitted. They just have to pay full price. Not unlike a NJ kid attending a CA school. Oh the horror!
