Illegal Aliens marching on Washington and protesting for the right to stay here just because they have been here for 20 years and know the language and the culture. BS. Mexico, etc is perfectly capable of providing education and jobs for it’s own but if we do it for them, why should they? People and military families move from country to country and adapt to the language and culture all the time. Going home to the country of their parents is just like going home because they already know the language and the culture because their parent never assimilated.

You cannot be here illegally, but I don't think you need a green card, you could, conceivably, sign up before you even get here. They need recruits and they have no problems recruiting from other nations.

The Military can help you get US Citizenship in 6 months but you at least have to have a Green Card or Visa to get the process started, if the US Military took illegals we would have the Military flooded with illegals from Mexico and Central America.

In order to join the US Military, you must either be a US citizen, or you must be a legal permanent immigrant, physically living in the United States, with a green card. The US military cannot and will not assist with the immigration process. If you are not a US citizen, you must legally and permanently immigrate to the United States first, via the regular immigration procedures and quotas, establish a residence, and then (if you meet the other qualifying criteria), visit a military recruiter's office and apply for enlistment.

That kid was not an illegal, I was in the Military and I can honestly tell you that you need a Green card to even make it through MEPS, no one is making it to basic training as an illegal alien.
