Dr. Drew Pinsky warns Los Angeles could be at risk of a deadly epidemic this summer

Thousands of lives may be at risk this summer in Los Angeles and politicians could be to blame.

Radio host and addiction medicine specialist Dr. Drew Pinsky talked about the horrific conditions on the streets of America's second-largest city Thursday before making the frightening prediction on Fox News Radio's "The Brian Kilmeade Show," which also airs on Fox Nation.

"I live in the great state of California, the utopia that is California, which is a nightmare," Pinsky said.

"I want to give you a prediction here. There will be a major infectious disease epidemic this summer in Los Angeles."

"We have tens and tens of thousands of people living in tents. Horrible conditions. Sanitation. Rats have taken over the city. We're the only city in the country, Los Angeles, without a rodent control program. We have multiple rodent-borne, flea-borne illnesses, plague, typhus. We're gonna have louse-borne illness. If measles breaks into that population, we have tuberculosis exploding. Literally, our politicians are like Nero. It's worse than Nero," Pinsky said.

Wouldn't surprise me at all. Those conditions breed disease. Once disease get a hold I wonder how many will die.

I wouldn't wish a plague on LA. They are already suffering through one of ultra leftist America hating politicians.

If and when an epidemic should strike, the American Gestapo will come alive with swoops. Recall the Aztecan-style snuff flick filmed in Albuquerque starring James Boyd.

Typhus does not give a flying rat's rear-end what time you think it is, Chuck513. We base our projection on established history of typhus, and Texas is a good indicator. The end of summer is our guess due to ratios of infected animals and incubation times along the same latitude (east-west axis).

Chicago has a worse rat problem than Los Angeles has. It would not surprise me if a disease or two wasn't deliberately introduced into the homeless camps.
