Downfall....of Hitler

Downfall: opening the book on the final days of Adolf Hitler

Good flick (netflix). I wondered if it was based on fact so I googled.

It makes me wonder why one person had so much sway over so many people who did such awful things....for such an evil man.
I wondered the same thing so I read his book several times and read several WW2 histories and watched a lot of old History Channel documentaries.

Ultimately I think the little people put Adolf into power, the same as with Trump.

From that point on Adolf systematically murdered his opposition the same as Stalin did.

When he finally had complete power he remobilized for war the same as Reagan did.

When he became really strong then England and France and even Russia were afraid of him and gave him everything he wanted.

The last straw was Poland, which Adolf and Stalin had divided together.

England called that the last straw and precipitated WW2 at that point.

Then Adolf simply grabbed France, his arch enemy.

He was at his height of popularity after his capture of Paris. The Germans thought he was a god at that point. They worshipped him then.

When he turned on Stalin everyone was afraid he had become unglued.

He had.

But the Germans trusted him because he had won every engagement so far.

Russia was his downfall.

Normandy was the final nail in his coffin.

So imagine Trump 5 to 8 years from now and you have Adolf all over again.

That might be the stupidest shit you've ever posted

I love it when girlies pile onto me !!

:D

you are a moron!

Hitler's Germany got too much into government overreach.

Fortunately the American Master of government overreach, Herr Obama, faded into nothingness after his allotted term. Surprising, that, but one of those things for one must be seen to be thankful.

You're way off topic by about 60 years.

That's called an anachronism.

Sticks and stones ... Love.

I'm still waiting for your counter argument.

I always had my suspicions about you.

No I have no doubt.

Hitler came to power while Germany was in the grips of an economic crisis due in great part for WWI "reparations", he turned it around, the people believed in him, Germany's easy early successes on the military front boosted his appeal to the people. Unfortunately he had duped the nation and Germany was in too deep before his agenda became clear to the people.

I was scratching my head at the responses until it finally dawned on me that someone on my iggie was commenting. Y'all made me look. :eusa_eh:

Funny then, it is taken from several histories and documentaries.

The wildest part about Adolf is that he had a second manuscript to his book which is a volume 2 where he lays out his intended conquest of America too.

I was referring to your connection to Hitler and Trump. You were doing well up to that point then went full blown stupid

Anywho....the woman that wrote the book that was based on the movie...I'm sorry, but I have no pity for her even as an old lady. However, if she was that blinded in her youth..that means many others were too. I also didn't know Hitler loathed his own people at the end. Then again....he was insane, so it shouldn't be surprising.

That he/she went full blown stupid is an understatement! :mad-61:

Ladies and gentlemen we call this piece "Logical Leaps".

If y'all have netflix...I recommend watching the movie. The guy that played Hitler did an excellent job. The woman that played Goebel's wife..I wanted to murder. The guy that played Goebel....wow. Talk about soulless eyes. Perfect cast for that guy.

The Netflix generation.

The real secretary..as an old woman that is now deceased, is in the beginning of the film and the end. Apologetic of course, but way after the horse got out of the barn. Still...it gave more credence to her memoires for the movie to be made.

A good read on how the Nazis came to power is The Coming Of The Third Reich

Mao killed 30M of his own countrymen. Stalin killed 20M. Pol Pot killed 25% of Cambodians. Soviet Bloc nations imprisoned and tortured untold numbers...The Kim dynasty in DPRK has starved millions and imprisoned many hundreds of thousands...and all we get is another stupid Nazi movie.
When are we going to get some movies about Socialism/Communism?
Oh! (((That's right))).
